I found these darkened pretty quickly. Yes I was my hands and use lotion with this ring on. I found my ring still twisted on my finger, this adjuster seemed to loosen quickly too so I needed a new one. It really bothered me that the screw feature was a great concept but continuously twisted off. It got really annoying. Wish I could return.
I have episodic edema in my hands. I had my wedding rings resized larger to accommodate this. Once the swelling decreases, I had to wear my rings on my right hand. I made this purchase to be able to wear my rings on my left ring finger. I received a pig of 10 plastic curlicues. I twisted on the larger size. As it curled around one end, it would start to unravel at the other. Once I got it wound around to the appropriate length, snipping off the excess, the plastic ends would rub against the adjoining fingers. Not comfortable, not easy to use, but less expensive than another resizing.
These made it difficult to get my rings on and off, but they still keep slipping from side to side and front to back. My ring stays on, but I am constantly adjusting it, and the spacer keeps moving to the front and side and is visible.
I guess I had higher expectations for these things. I have tried both sizes - I think the issue is they don’t fit well on ring bands that are thin. I wouldn’t say it’s comfortable, you just get used to it. When I have one on my ring, it does not stay in place, it with my rings turns on my hand still, which is baffling because it does make the ring snug enough on my hand to not come off, but not enough to keep it in place. They do in a pinch, but not a solution to a ring that’s too big.
