Noise was my main reason for getting this kettle and it certainly delivers on that. Sometimes I don't know it's finished boiling. The kettle also looks very nice. I would have liked the liquid capacity to be a little more, but we drink a lot of tea in our home, so this wouldn't be an issue for other people perhaps.
Note that the one pictured is a copper one and the description is the black base one. I went off the picture thinking I was getting that but got a brushed black metal base. I’m keeping it though as it’s still a nice looking kettle and quality looks good. It lights up blue inside which is a bit different
Nice cool outlook and relatively quiet while boiling, the water level is a little bit hard to read though. The ring inside makes the cleaning process tricky. So I just put a slice of lemon and boil it every 2 weeks to keep it clean.
We had our previous (and similar) Russel Hobbs electric kettle for approx. 12 years. No complaints with performance at all, think we wore it out, it just stopped working. Was a logical to stick with a proven product to replace. We are very happy with our purchase. It performs as we expected it would. The most pleasing aspect is it this new generation kettle 'whisper' quiet. Especially when compared to our much used and now 'deceased' old boiler.
