A sad reflection of the win at all costs mentality, mixed with a reaffirming love story

Neither as explosive or shocking as the publisher would like us to believe, but still a very entertaining account none the less to confirm what has been strongly suspected for a long time.
The book also gives a very interesting insight into male female couples in Russia and the Russian mindset.
I hope that Yulia and Vitaly have found peace and ongoing support in the USA, given the high personal cost of their decision to go public with their stories.

For anyone who ever doubted that Russia was systematically doping athletes, this is the book to read. The story of two whistle blowers, their relationship and the risks they took to eventually convince the world athletics establishment to act. Very readable but a tad repetitive. Still worthy of five stars.
