After extensive online research to find a mouth guard for my daughter once she had her braces fitted, I decided on the SISU. I could not be happier with this purchase and my daughter says it is the most comfortable mouth guard she has ever worn. The ease of remoulding it every couple of weeks as her teeth move and the protection it supplies makes it one of my best online purchases - thank you.
Very comfortable, hardly feel it in my mouth. Can easily drink water, swallow with it in. Lightweight and not chunky like other guards. I’ve had two now and tried others before and in between and these are the best.
Not a lot of material to mould over the pre-molars and feels like just an expensive piece of plastic with a lot of marketing. Definitely takes a few tries to mould it snugly so just keep redoing it until it fits well. It is though much more comfortable and breathable than other brands. I used it for jiu jitsu and light boxing sparring. Definitely would get a much thicker one for heavy sparring.
I am an adult who plays competitive hockey and can personally attest to the fact that this is the best mouth piece out there. I have also coached kids for over 10 years. The reason its the best because, unlike soft rubber ones, this mouth piece always stays in place. It is a hard molded plastic and if you fit it correctly it doesn't move at all and stays perfectly glued to the roof of your mouth. This means you easily breath and there is also no temptation to chew on it and have it out of place, like I see kids do all the time. I even took a puck to the mouth a few years ago while wearing this and luckily only suffered a very small insignificant surface crack to a tooth, I was incredibly lucky not to lose the tooth. I didn't even know it was cracked until my dentist told me like 5 months later he saw it. Lastly, these mouth pieces also last a very long time, easily the whole season and they clean up easily with a toothbrush.
I play rugby and it's important to be able to talk when wearing a mouth guard. I like this mouth guard because it is low-profile, so you can open/close your mouth and speak clearly. It also stays in place and it only comes off if I consciously take it off. Other mouth guards just fall out if you don't make a concerted effort to suction it to your top teeth. I found myself attempting to do that out of habit, and as it turns out, this mouth guard fits better than any other I've had. The only down side is that the holes of the mouth guard are a little rough once they are formed.
Ok first off my son has sensory issues. So everything he wears on his body is a big deal amd hard to find. This is the 5th mouthguard we tried. It’s sleek and comfy he loves it!!! Only tip is boil water then allow it to soak 30 seconds until it’s very pliable to work with. Water must be super hot.
My daughter plays lacrosse and hockey and I am tired of buying new mouthguard because she chews on them. This mouthguard is great because if it gets to formed you can just heat it up again and reform it. We have reformed it at least a dozen times. I definitely recommend it. I do not recommend it was braces. We tried to use it once she got braces and almost couldn’t get it off because it forms around them. Other than that it has been great.
