Works flawlessly. Minus half a star because the sound is not quite loud enough. And minus a half star because the seller refuses to honour the 'Free Headphones' coupon in the package.
We use ours in the kitchen. Pictured is the player on a custom wood counter stand with mounted Logitech speaker plugged into the player's 3.5mm headphone jack. That external speaker is plenty loud enough for the intended use.
We don't use it on battery power so can't comment on that. It would be nice if the infrared remote receiver was on both the front and back of the unit because as seen in the photo we use ours with the screen turned 180 degrees to the back. For us its awkward to reach around and use the buttons and the remote won't work at all with the way we've oriented the unit.
I guess I have lots of quibbles but this is the third brand we've tried and the first that actually plays all DVDs consistently.
Great DVD player with very easy compatibility for the car. Picture and video sound good and clear. Comes with attachment to go over head rest of the car and DVD player flips around and folds back as shown in second picture. Come with all chargers and remote. Charge last for 8 hours plus.
Good for the price. Good picture quality and it came with a head rest holder. After only a few uses, the car charger cord came apart. The battery does last for about 5 hours so as long as I remember to charge it before a trip it’s still worth it... the other issue for me is the volume is not very loud. If you are using headphones this isn’t a problem but we have ours in a van with 5 children so only the 2 sitting directly in front of the DVD player can really hear it. But it kept my littles happy for a 20+ hour drive so it does the job!
Update: After I asked if I could purchase a replacement car charger, they sent me one immediately for no cost!
Took this camping this week end and was able to watch two full movies and still had power left. This is what we actually purchased it for. The picture quality was very good and clear. It came with something to hang it on the back of the seat in a car and fits well. The grand kids will like that. Room for 2 headphones so they will be able to watch and not bother others in the vehicle. Some have said the battery did not last long but we found that on initial use it lasted 3 hrs and 48 minutes. Upon a second charge it lasted 4 hrs and 53 minutes and after the third charge we watched those movies camping and still had power left. The movies lasted almost 4 1/2 hours. So, it should be good for the time frame the seller advertised. Nice item and we like it...
The On board sound quality was clear and loud for this player. I like that the power cable is long enough to reach the plug in the car and that it folds back to become flats and compact. Will definitely get another one for my other kid when hes older. The only minor issue I have with this is that the remote control doesnt work well - I’m not sure where to point it and i keep pushing it alot until it catches the car harness.
I hope this Review and Video are helpful - Having used it for several hours, this DVD Player does a decent job in several areas: 0-- The Menu System lets you control anything from Brightness to Contrast and more, to Display format, to DVD-restart memory On/Off, Language and Parental Control, to Setting a Password, or Reset to Factory Default 1-- Acceptably loud speakers with reasonable quality considering their size 2-- The screen (9" actual display area) is very sharp and bright with good contrast and excellent color 3-- You can turn the screen off should you want to only play Music CDs 4-- A Backseat holder for the DVD player + a Car Charger (cord is 5ft long) 5-- Excellent connectivity: Audio out (2 headsets), a 5' A/V to RCA cable for external TV, USB and Card ports 6-- Plays continuously even when shaken or hit 7-- Can play various Video formats (but not MP4) Dimensions: 9.5" x 7" x 1.8" , 1.8 lb / 820 gr What could make it better: - Colored keys on the Remote for easier read - Placing the Sensor of the Remote on the screen panel instead of the front of the bottom panel - Show how full the battery is - It did not read a USB flash drive I tried, or maybe it's just 'me' (SD Card was read fine)
First of all the reason we bought this was to bring along camping so my nephew could watch his dvds! We didn’t want to bring the iPad incase he dropped it or got it wet or lost it, we wanted something less expensive! We didn’t use until our camping trip last weekend and it was a life saver!! A 2 year old doesn’t have much of an attention span for much so he would get restless easily especially outdoors where there wasn’t much for him to do... on one of his tired fussy moments (crying of course) I put his favorite cars movie on and it occupied him till he fell asleep!! Next day same thing once he got tired we popped in his movie and it put him to sleep. Did that 3 days in a row and if it wasn’t for this DVD player we probably would’ve left and went home early! The quality is nice, sound is loud enough for him to hear at a good distance, picture quality looked ok although I was only peeking at it here and there but seemed pretty decent! Price was fair and comparable to others we’ve shopped around for! 1 full charge last the 2 days of him watching here and there, we charged it fully again for the 3rd day of camping and for the ride home! Now that we’re home he brings it to me when he’s tired as if he’s saying I want to sleep please put my movie on... so for what it’s worth this DVD player has made my life a lil less stressful! We’re all outdoors family and always on the go, this will come with us on every outing from now on. I’m hoping it last awhile or at least till he’s out of this cartoon movie phase which could be a year or two!! I would recommend this as a good DVD player, I don’t honestly mind him watching movies as often as he would like, it’s better than playing on iPads or devices as I’ve seen other kids do... I haven’t looked into what kind of warranty there is but hopefully it’s a good one...
Product is crap and doesn't work. Righr out of the box it wouldn't play a single DVD. Constantly said no disc when there clearly was a disc. The motor inside never re an or made a noise to make you think it was doing anything let alone trying to read the disc that was installed. Purchased for a family Road trip for 3 kids to watch. Of course now cannot replace before we leave. I am furious. Save your money on this crap brand.
Pros: Keeps my 3 year old entertained while we travel and for that I'm very happy. The battery life is amazing and you can keep it plugged up while in the car. It starts where it left off when you power up which is a nice feature.
Cons: Remote doesn't work AT ALL. Maybe I got a dud but it's been a bit of a problem for using the player. When it gets hot from being in the car in the summer it acts funny and won't work for a while. The power button is in a difficult place to reach when it's in a head rest holder. (which is why the remote would be great if it worked.) Even if the movie is over it will still start back at the ending credits. Not a big deal but still annoying.
