I LOVE these!! My son told me about them as we have both been looking for something to protect our eyes while grinding, cutting or using my chain saws. Why are these GREAT? THEY DO NOT FOG UP!!!! THEY DON'T SCRATCH! I work hard when I chain saw for hours and sweat heavily. ALL and I mean ALL safety glasses I have used fog up! These are a very fine mesh steel screen. Tough, won't scratch (like plastic ones do, obscuring vision) and won't fog. The supporting structure is soft and plyable, able to comfortably provide protection to the entire eye. The ONLY con is: due to the density of the steel screen, the total visible light through to the eyes is reduced. HOWEVER; the vision is clear! (the way focal points work with the brain) NOTE: If you are doing grinding that generates a heavy dust, you need the much finer screen or a solid glass. For 99% of all I do, these work GREAT! To sum it up, I am back to wearing Safety goggles when I use my chain saw, every time, again!
Ben Franklin Glasses Maybe? - These "extra large" and "over the glasses" safety goggles are way too small. I wear moderately sized glasses with a thin metal frame, and these safety goggles certainly did NOT fit over them. The goggles were mostly much too narrow for my glasses, but still not much room around the nose piece either. If I owned a pair of Ben-Franklin glasses, then maybe these would work.
Otherwise, if you don't wear glasses at all, get these. I can't imagine how small the standard size goggles must be. Quality seemed good and all else looked ok. I never wore them to do any work. They never left the house since they were a no-go for me and since I would be returning them.
I sell firewood and always trying new pairs of safety glasses. I think I hit the big one, These are great and don't fog up. Hate that! It's winter here and I was out for four hours cutting wood and these are great. Did I tell you these don't fog up? Get them you will love them. I would buy it again.
These safety goggles will not fog up or scratch and are form fitting to the face so they will prevent chips from getting under lense and hitting your eyes. I found the adjusting strap to be difficult to adjust to my head size but the strap kept the goggles in place while chainsawing and weed whacking.
I bought our first pair for Hubs to wear when using his chainsaw. We can't say enough about them. They are made well and take safety to a whole new level. One of our sons used them and loved them so much we bought another pair!
