Some of the brush platic bristles were falling off while i was opening the package. And more came off when i famned through it. Bad product. Dont cheat urself, get a better brush. I wasted my $ with this set.
This brushes used on this are huge. Making controlling the amount of bleach picked up hard to handle and it dripped a lot. The bowls are small. But even smaller when compared to the Sizes of the brushes. That made no sense to me. I could only put about two scoops of bleach in with developer. Which is annoying to have to constantly repeat making the combo while your other parts of your hair and scalp are busy bleaching. So I opted for using a large glass mixing bowl. Would not recommend for hair bleach use
I made this purchase during the corona virus pandemic lock down. Going to the hair salon was not possible. Thanks to this product I was able to color my hair easily and without making a mess. It worked much better than using the squeeze bottle applicator that comes in the store bought haircolor boxes
The price on this tends to fluctuate. I purchased this little kit for $5 but upon writing my review, I see that it is now $3. That being said, $3 or $5, this is a great deal! The mixing bowl is made of a sturdy plastic so it won't bend despite filling it up with product. I can't really attest to the actual quality of the brushes, however, as I primarily use this to apply my colour shampoo, colour conditioner, and deep conditioning treatments. So far, the brushes have done well for me. I'm sure if you're trying to bleach or colour your hair though, it could be a different story.
so I'm a lady who loves to dye her hair, I went for a nice cheap option because something like a BOWL should be, you know... FUNCTIONAL. I don't usually buy stuff from Amazon because you know, money. But I wanted to spoil myself and dye my hair after like months of just having it brown, I wanted a bowl so I can do something nice for my hair. I usually use soup bowls but like I like my noodles, so thats not an option anymore.
This package arrived today and I'm sitting here drinking my cold lemonade and I'm like oh dang my package is here. I walk over and got the package and I'm like oh dang this package has been through something, feels empty but thats fine. I got socks, hair dye and this BOWL. I opened up the package like some kid who discovered a lottery in a box and I was so excited to see socks, hair dye and dun dun dun... a BOWL. I LOOKED AT THE BOWL AND NOTICED THAT IT TWAS BROKEN. I was like uh ok its fine its just a crack but ehn you LOOK at the BOWL. The bowl is actually cracked like a spiral and I'm like oh hot dimmodome dang, I don't appreciate this at all. I was really looking forward to having a FUNCTIONAL bowl and not have it all broken. You're lucky I have a hot glue gun to salvage the bowl, at least the brushes look nice, so thats a plus. I just wish that this package had bubble wrap that helped the bowl like.... I've seen packages with just a toothbrush in a TV size box had more cushioning than this mess.
So yeah look at reviews and amazon, just idk put bubble wrap and boom, you have a nice FUNCTIONAL BOWL.
Came in one piece, packaging was fine. Worked well to distribute the hair dye throughout my hair. Also worked very well for working the dye around my roots with precision. I've baugten a few where the strands started sticking out halfway through doing the hair and none of the small strands came out at all either. Ended up cleaning both the bowl and brush and it looks like it will hold up for a couple more uses! I have to say for the extra few dollars you sound vs a really cheapy one this one is worth it.
I don't know if the item got damaged in shipping or what but it was cracked. I didn't see it in time and the bleach and developer got all over my counter. The brushes worked pretty well though. But even if they sent me one that was not broken and it got broken in shipping it can not be sturdy enough to buy and have shipped. If you only need brushes this is a good item for you. I had to kind of guess with my hair mixture in a solo cup.
The brushes that come in this set are fine, but the problem is the bowl. It is cheap and not packaged very well so beware if you are buying along with anything else that will ship in the same box. The packaging of this item consists of a piece of cardboard with plastic over it. There is a hole cut out where the bowl goes through and the plastic covers the top ridge of the bowl. Mine was shipped in a box with another item, and when it arrived, this set's packing wasn't enough to keep it from banging against anything else. The rim of the bowl was cracked about half way around the edge. Also, the bowl is pretty small. if you have a lot of hair to color it is difficult to mix enough color in this bowl to cover all of your hair. You get what you pay for with this set.
You do get what you pay for, so I would not call this a professional set. However when coloring my hair, it DOES help to make it much easier! The bristles ARE rather harsh on the hair in comparison to actual professional brushes. But like I said, you get what you pay for and for this price, as long as you’re careful, I think this is perfect for helping in making the coloring process easier and effectively.
This product arrived looking like someone used the dish and then returned it in its original packaging. I would have never sold this to a customer they way it was "repackaged". I dont want to waste my time going through the return process for a cheap item, so ill keep it but come on. Have at least a little pride in the items you sell.
