4.0 out of 5 stars Excellent set of cans
By Jack on 12 May 2021
These headphones are fantastic value for the most part and you really can't go wrong. Although made primarily from plastic, they feel sturdy enough and are very lightweight. Clamping force isn't too tight either so for these are very comfortable. The self-adjusting headband is also a nice touch.

The only thing I don't like about them is the stock ear pads. I've heard the leather ones are fairly hard and that the velour pads, which mine came with, are better. They may be better, but they aren't great. They're definitely on the thinner side and not as soft as I was expecting and can get a bit itchy after a while. I highly recommend buying a pair of replacement ear pads from the likes of Brainwavz for example, as I've heard a lot of good things about their pads.

Onto sound quality. Do they sound like a pair of $70 headphones? Absolutely not. They sound way beyond their price point. If someone told me these headphones costed upwards of $200, I wouldn't doubt them for a second (if you ignore the all plastic build), because that's pretty much how they sound. I've never heard anything quite like this on such a low cost pair of headphones. They sound pretty balanced overall with very crisp mids and highs.

In short, the Samson SR850's are a great set of headphones that are very comfortable and sound fantastic. If you're looking to get into audiophile gear, such as myself, I think these would be a good place to start. Get some different ear pads and you'll have some of the most comfortable $70 headphones ever.

5.0 out of 5 stars De los mejores auriculares por debajo de 80€
Reviewed in Spain on 18 April 2018
Oh no...
