I only provide my comments to either superior products beyond my expectation or rubbish . This luggage is the latter.
After I brought this suitcase, I used it a couple of times, and I also put an 'fragile' tag on it when take flight. However, the suitcase broke from the 'connecting parts'(sorry for my poor English, I do not know what the proper word is to describe it, please see pictures). Luckily, samsonite provides 10 years warranty for it, I sent it for repair, they changed both connecting parts with new ones, I was satisfied with the service at the beginning. However, when I put my stuffs into the suitcase for my next trip, I suddenly noticed one of the two connecting parts broke AGAIN, even without any usage...
Even though this is a fancy suitcase with super light material and 10 year warranty, but the poor quality of it really made me upset and disappointed , especially when you are happily going to travel , then suddenly found it was broken AGAIN.
After sales sucks. I bought this as I fly a lot and it came with a warranty. The zippers have broken. The seller has washed their hands of any responsibility to live upto promises of warranty by saying any examination of issues and postage costs need to be at my expense.
Last time I checked the retailer is obliged to live upto warranty promises when they sell items and should disclose any caveats. I kind of feel a bit scammed as this is not the cheapest piece of luggage on the market.
Bought two from this seller, although one had a problem with the outer hinge part within 12 months (similar problem to seen in https://www.amazon.co.uk/gp/customer-reviews/R3IBWGK3RDRALC/ref=cm_cr_dp_d_rvw_ttl?ie=UTF8&ASIN=B01BC1WGE8). This seems to be due to a simple part totally missing (or broken off and lost) inside; contacted seller who said I would need to deal with Samsonite directly - which I am doing at a cost of £14 to send it to them (via the Samsonite pickup service). Bought this at under shop prices from this seller at the time so was aware I was buying cheap, but if I was paying full price then I don't know if I'd be happy about this sellers post-sales response.
