How did these shoes/company get such good reviews? I did my research. I made sure I knew the right size to order based on their chart, even though it was a little off from other shoe charts. I passed on the $120 Peloton shoes which I knew would be awesome to save almost half the price. I waited almost a month to get them, but I figured it had to do with COVID, so I let it go. I received them and they are about 3 sizes too big. And the texture is very plastic and does not appear flexible/pliable, like you would need to spin. When I went to ship them back just to exchange them, they told me it was going to be $250!!!!!!! Like, what???? The description of returns is so vague. It’s free shipping and free returns if you can use the company carrier. But who is that??? And it is guaranteed by Amazon, so I thought it would be okay. I have a file claimed with Amazon and I e-mailed the company. So update to come. Just don’t mess with this company. Not worth the hassle.
Fit is a little loose on the width of the 9.5, but close enough. So far so good on function. These are NOT compatible as-is with 2 bolt SPD cleats, even though the slots are built into the sole. However, I purchased a separate adapter that can be inserted under the insole to allow regular SPD cleats to be used.
I’ve learned for me a slightly larger shoe size works better. As a female women’s cycle shoes also tend to fit narrower and doesn’t leave room for the expansion of the foot as you press down on the pedal which puts stress on the arches of the foot, these are perfect so far.
Also they tighten really well so that my ankles aren’t rotating too much (I have a pair of botranger and my ankles did not feel any support at all. Although it’s the type with the wire tighteners)
One note, They don’t come with the clips so you have to buy them.
First time indoor bike rider here...very happy with my decision! I was looking for a nice, solid pair of cycling shoes that would be compatible with an indoor bike and these ended up being perfect! The only downside here is the shipping — it took quite some time to make it across the works to the East Coast! If you need shoes immediately, maybe not your best choice — but if you can be patient, are looking for some style and versatility, and can wait a few weeks — then I highly recommend trying these! I am typically a 10.5 in men’s shoes and these fit just as expected.
My wife really likes these shoes. However, we could not get the standard screws/washers to engage the threads on one of the shoes. I was able to substitute some thinner, all-purpose washers and get the cleats installed, but I'm not sure how long that solution will last. Perhaps the pressure of the cleat will bring the threads a little closer to the shoe sole surface. Otherwise, 5 stars.
So it took me forever to figure out how to attach the cleats and whatnot to the channel (since I was doing MTB), but I finally figured out I had to go under the insert and put in these metal brackets to screw into. The issue is that the left shoe is defective. The right shoe is correct, where this metal insert can slide freely up and down the track. But the left shoe is obstructed (can see it in the picture - look at the corner where it just barely touches). Luckily I can still attach everything in that spot but unfortunately there is considerably less flexibility/adjustment than there is supposed to be.
I was a little nervous buying these shoes because they are my first set of cycling shoes but I ordered them anyway. I am very pleased! They are true to size and look awesome. They fit the delta cleats perfectly, too. I will always buy this brand!
