I did not like these pants at all and even if the cut was better, I wouldn't pay more then $15 for them.
What I do know is that they are comfortable. Very comfortable. Confusingly comfortable. And they are true to size. Washing and drying them has had no noticeable effect.
I don’t want to workout in them, as they seem to trap the heat and get sweaty easily. I want to wear them as lounge pants, but they have this political pantsuit feel to them. I guess they would be appropriate as loungewear at the Whitehouse? Classy ninja-mom wear? Maybe one day when I’m an old lady I’ll find these and think to myself, “oh my, what a lovely pant. I’ll wear it to the store and look rather fetching.” But for now, I’ll just continue wondering what these are for.
The only weird thing about these pants are the pockets in back. They don’t really serve a purpose and get bunched up a little so I’m going to sew them up and cut off the extra fabric. I wear these with a simple cardigan and they look just like my expensive pants. 5 stars!
-They have a strange faux zipper stitched in on the front. I’m not sure what that’s about.
-They actually make my butt look pretty good, but....
-The legs are indeed straight and wide, but could be a bit longer. They end up - on me, anyway- looking disproportional.
-I can see where the fabric is moisture wicking, only I fear you’d roast to death in them first. Is that braising?
-The waist could use a bit of stretch, a drawstring, something. Again, the proportions are off - very roomy in the legs but not elsewhere.
I’ll wear them, but not in the summer!! These will be fall/winter pants for me.
1) They fit her perfectly with a high waist that she prefers and generously cut legs that let her move freely (she particularly liked the wide almost flared calves)
2) They have 4 real, usable pockets (sadly rare in women's clothing
3) They look great and work as both dress slacks and everyday slacks
4) They stretch and move with her through work and play - super comfortable
She thinks they look great and I agree. Here's how I know this are a hit with her - she wants at least one more pair in another color.
She said they were really comfortable and fit really well. I think they look really good on her also. The pictures that I included with this review show my 16 yr old wearing these with thin shorts underneath.
However they fit great without the shorts underneath.
These definitely run big.
