Does not securely hold a phone

I like that the grip is wide. It also seems like it will hold a device that has a case or cover (as long as the case/cover is not too thick. My issue with this holder is that it is incapable of securely holding a phone like it does a tablet. Its GREAT for a tablet, but not good for a phone. For phones, only 3 of the 4 contact points make contact with the phone. This makes for an unstable hold. My phone kept coming loose from the holder as I was making position adjustments for video recording. Great seller, but I will have to return this item.

Can't Use iPad With Any Case

This works great if you have an iPad with no case whatsoever, but it will not work if you have a case. I had a rather thick case and bought another thinner case when this arrived. Made no difference. Only way it held the iPad securely was if it has no case at all. Too bad since it does work great without it. I'll keep looking.

The description says the device works with iPads that are in cases, but it is barely adequate. The clamps that hold the iPad are not adjustable, so if the case is too large, the hold on the iPad will be precarious, at best (or won't work at all). Surely there must be something better available. Save your money.

It's a decent value for the price. The arm the attatches to the stand is sturdy metal, the actual tablet holder is cheap plastic. It won't work with my case which is unfortunate, but it will work for now.

The holder is built rugged and solid and has a pretty serious stretch to accomidate pads of various sizes. My only complaint is the holding pegs are hard set in their height and dont allow for increasing the thickness of what's being held. So no protector cases on the pad while using this product...

Does not fit with a case

I tried using this with a new iPad 10.2in screen and its case. It can hold the iPad by itself, but it cant hold the device while it is inside the case. The round pieces are not deep enough, and the arms are not wide enough.

If you plan on having a case on your device (which is generally a good idea) then you need to look elsewhere.
