Marvelous book. Bradbury's artistry with language will appeal to all lovers of the written word. While the story is universal, it will appeal to young people in the 12 to 16 range especially, as the two main protagonists are nearly 14.

A Terrible ProductionReviewed in the United States on 13 August 2019
I hate giving bad reviews. I wanted this to be good because I grew up reading Ray Bradbury's works and I loved them. Heck, I read this book when I was in high school and I was looking forward to this radio play. Let's begin with the direction, or lack there of. For some reason the director thought the sound of running footsteps would advance the story, it doesn't, but there is a lot of it. Much of Bradbury's descriptions are left out, so you have characters talking with no context so you spend too much time trying to figure out who's talking to who and where. A musical segue comes in, something happens followed by another musical segue with something else happening, all with no explanation! Then there's the acting, it's like they just grabbed people off the street and stuck a script in their hands. So, fundamentally some of the very best parts of Ray Bradbury's "Something Wicked This Way Comes," never made it into this radio play. Avoid this production. You would be much better off with an unabridged reading of the book. Sorry.
