I’d been eying this bad boy up for a while. Being Antipodean, I have a love of good coffee with some oomph. But at the same time, I was wary of this tasting too strong or bitter/acidic. But it was awesome. Smooth, full flavour, fantastic crema - make it in a glass mug and watch the ballet! And boy does it have a kick! One cup and I did two weeks of ironing in under an hour :P
I’m a big fan of cold drip and have a tower at home, and was always told to use medium beans (three bean strength) in a cold drip, so though this might be a bit much, but again, no - absolutely brilliant. Lovin It!
Yes, it’s on the pricy side, but you can always have smaller/fewer shots, given the kick it gives you.
The smell of this coffee is amazing, almost a dark chocolate. It has an intense acidic flavour with no bitterness. The caffeine content may be high but I didn't notice (i may drink to much coffee). I start to notice the effects after about 6 to 8 shots. My favorite way to drink this coffee so far is a quad shot straight into a tall glass of cold milk with nothing else added. (It removes the acid leaving only a chocolatey, fruity flavor)
My husband bought a packet of this to try last month and I'm seriously hooked. It's the only coffee that I've been able to enjoy black. No bitter aftertaste and really strong, robust flavour. Definitely recommend.
This is the best coffee I’ve ever tasted by far. I like my coffee strong and Sons of Amazon doesn’t disappoint. It packs a punch without that bitter aftertaste that so many coffees have. Would definitely recommend. Check out the nice crema!
