Not cheap though. But there is no/little competition.
SD Slot has "click lock" mechanism, so it secures inserted card as well as protects from inserting upside down and bending reader contacts, which is common issue with most of the reader adapters.
XQD card plugs mostly similar to CF, so there is no need for click mechanism.
Overall construction is durable (even for plastic enclosure). You might find 3rd party (less known brands) similar adapters available all around, I have one for CF/SD/microSD which came with USB C adapter I'm using now with this one, but most of them have technical limitations for simultaneous slot use. This one operates both slots the same time.So far, this is single reader tool for my set of D850, D500 and D90.
An addition of a USB type C cable would have made the data transfer even faster, but they're easily available and are inexpensive.
UHS-II test - Sandisc Extreme Pro 300Mb/s (picture 1):
W: ~ 172 Mb/s
R: ~ 228 Mb/s
*results: pretty much same like with original recommended Sandisc's reader (look picture 2)
I wanted to upgrade this reader simply switching FROM original cable which comes with reader (USB to Micro B) TO Micro B to USB-C... UNFORTUNATELY it did not work... I tried with 3 different brand’s with no luck... I am surpassed that Sony is not offering in USB-C's era (like my 16" macbook) this kind of connection... (I noticed that the date when this product was available for the first time on Amazon was July 21 2016. Anyways this small upgrade could not be that hard...

Spedizione e imballo perfetti.
