I use it in a classroom, and have multiple monitors hooked up to one device. I don't always use all monitors, and sometimes turn one on or shut one off during a presentation. No matter what I do, the splitter delivers a sync'ed feed to whichever monitors I have on at any given time. This is a great device.
The splitter is very easy to install. Plug an Play; no switches, setup or programming to mess with. The signal is 1080p and both TVs confirm that is what they are receiving. I do not see any signal degradation, delay, or choppiness on either TV, even when using both at the same time. The picture looks better on the living room TV only because it is a much newer 4K LED set that is better in every way compared to the 8 year old LCD TV in the bedroom.
The case is metal. It is possible the bright LEDs on the splitter might be annoying in some settings, but my unit is on the back side of a display stand, and totally out of sight.
I only have it hooked up to two TVs, so I cannot comment on how it performs when sending signals to 3 or 4 displays. None of my displays are 3D. I'll try to remember to update this, if there a problems, or if I get the chance to connect to more displays at the same time.
