Cycling stuff is usually expensive, so when I came across this brand I thought, well it looks cool (very important) and is not going to break the the bank so why not give it a go. I am very impressed with the quality especially at this pricing. I've used these shorts for a couple of months now and there's no fading or degradation at all. They appear to be at least as good quality as my shorts from a name brand manufacturer that was double or more the price. Highly recommend Sponeed.
There are far fewer cycling clothing options for women so I decided to venture into the men’s gear and these fit wonderfully. I’m 5’5” ~120 lbs, normally wear a size 2-4 in dresses or 6-8 in pants, measure in at 26in around my waist and 17.5inches around my lower quad. Went with a size small. I usually wear M to L in women’s cycling shorts. Hope this helps some other gals find the gear they need!
I got this shorts in June and enjoyed its comfortable feel until now. Suddenly after 6 months, i see that the cloth material worn out and there was white fungus like stuff on shorts. Upon closer examination i see that the material has worn out leaving behind torn feeling.
Seller conta ted me immediately and offered me a free replacement. Thanks for the nice gesture.
These are my go to biking shorts. The padding is excellent and the fit is extremely snug(the way I prefer it). My only complaint about these would be that they become transparent in rain. You can see almost everything through these, much to the chagrin of my riding buddies. I've used these daily for the past 3 months. With the constant washing, the padding has lost some of its rigidity but it is still effective.
I thought for a change, instead of paying fortune for Castelli shorts, I'd give these cheapies a go, not really expecting anything amazing. But, you know, whilst Castelli makes beautiful stuff, after wearing the sponeed shorts I am glad I didn't pay 3 times the price. I can't really find any real difference in the feel. It doesn't have Castelli on the side, but they feel no different, the quality is actually really good, so I am really wondering why I am paying so much for a nice name on the side. Really good shorts for a stunning price.
I went through two pairs of these in 5 months. The stitching kept raveling loose at the seems. They appeared made well and fit well but did not hold up. I ride about 130 miles weekly, therefore, I expected them to last a little longer. Amazon's return policy was great and after the second issue of seem thread coming loose I purchased another brand. Let's hope they hold up better.
I’ve tried many bikes shorts available on amazon for under $50 and Sponeed has the best padding. The fit is very good. I ordered US Large. I normally wear 34” and I’m 6’ 180 pounds. They are just a bit tight, just like they should be. They seem to be well made. I’ll update if I notice any unusual wear. The only thing I would suggest is to please make these in all black. I don’t really like all the bright colors and stripes, and if you put a small logo that would be fine, but 12 per leg is excessive.
Like the construction and thick padding. I have a 36" waist so ordered the XL (US), XXL (Asia) and it fit fine. I guess I have bigger than average thighs (from all that bike riding!), but the legs were really tight . . . so much so I'm cutting the seams by 1" at the seams to keep the elastic at the bottom of each leg from cutting off the circulation.
Great product, this is my 2nd pair, other products may have a bigger padding surface, but this ones are the perfect balance, big enough to make it comfortable for riding and eventual walking if needed. This may be an issue if you are looking for huge padding surface but for casual riding is more than enough. VERY important sizes are quite small, Im US medium and ordered large. fits perfect and both fabric and stitches are well made.
I use these for mountain biking, so I'm only in the saddle for ~10 miles. Can't say how the chamois would hold up for longer road rides, but I like the fit/compression. I wear these under baggies but they would be fine to wear on their own too if that's your preference/or you're road riding. For my purposes they've worked well and the chamois has been good.
