The Stationmaster's Cottage was a lovely read from cover to cover. I would not hesitate to recommend this novel to those who appreciate intricate love stories and well woven dual time frame books, in the same vein as Kate Morton's novels.
Highly recommend this book to fans of romance, Nicholas Sparks, mystery or just anyone looking for a stunning read. Would love to read more from this highly talented author
There are two love stories in this one two beautiful love stories I might add that will bring you to tears as it did me this debut is beautifully written the characters are rich and engaging and the emotions fly off the pages the setting is amazing and the secrets that are uncovered by Christie will make your heart pound and getting angry with some people. Yes this is a story that I highly recommend so many emotions so much joy in the end the best.
I can't imagine anyone who loves an old-fashioned love story with an undercurrent of suspense, not loving this novel.
A beautiful story of lost love. Heart warming as well as heart breaking this book is a crazy roller-coaster of emotions!!

Present day, Christie attends her estranged grandmother’s funeral and is surprised to be the inheritor a run-down stationmaster’s cottage in a small country village. She stumbles across things from the past showing deception and love. In amongst these finding from the past her own relationship and career are subject to lies and suspicion.
The dual timeline worked well enough to make it a pleasant read. There were some aspects that didn’t seem quite as cohesive as perhaps they could have been but overall a good and enthralling read.
Christie is a renowned make up artist, travelling much of the time; her fiancé Derek is a businessman. He books a holiday for when she's back but her Grandmother dies and despite family tensions she decides to go to the funeral. She's very surprised when she finds out that she's been left a cottage in a small town, initially she wants to sell it but gradually her thoughts change.
Then there's the mystery of the unworn wedding rings she finds in the loft, who did they belong to? She decides to find out and goes on a journey of discovery, discovering things she never knew about her family.
This book was well worth persevering with and I'm glad I did!
When Christie inherits a small delapidated cottage after her mother dies. She is told by her fiance to sell it, as she is living a rich city life. She goes to see the cottage and soon falls in love with it. It has many secrets which she gradually uncovers, and a deep wrong, committed so many years before is put right?
Lovely to read, and I needed many tissues at the ready. The story of Thomas and Martha, and Martin and Christie.
