Grinds well, but messy and can't control grind size
Reviewed in Australia on 23 July 2019
I bought this to grind coffee; it looked good in pictures, and it seemed like a good choice based on the reviews here. While it is efficient for grinding, the only method of controlling grind size is by the length of time you hold the button. What this leads to is coffee grounds of all shapes and sizes, which isn't really useful for the Moka pot I use for brewing coffee. Grinding a batch of beans for ~4-5 seconds, results in a range of ground sizes from very fine to very coarse and even unground coffee beans. While the freshly ground coffee results in a better tasting brew, the very fine grounds manage to get through the filter and result in lots of sediment in your coffee cup. Not great. On top of that, it can be messy when opening and emptying the grinder because of the design of the grinding bowl and lid. Overall, quite disappointed with the product.
