To calculate the overall star rating and percentage breakdown by star, we don’t use a simple average. Instead, our system considers things like how recent a review is and if the reviewer bought the item on Amazon. It also analyses reviews to verify trustworthiness.
We purchased the Microchip bowl in the past and are very happy with it. We purchased another Microchip bowl and a Connect bowl and unfortunately I was not aware you needed to spend another 100+ dollars to buy the hub to make it work to its full potential. I am not spending more money on a hub. I was going to return this bowl and just order another of the regular bowls but it costs return shipping. I am better off just keeping this connect bowl and using it like i use the other ones. Seems a real shape to have spent extra money for extra features you cant even use unless you buy the hub too. Ridiculous.
Der Futterautomat ist nur für unseren kleinen Kater zugänglich. Leider schafft unser großer Kater den kleinen Kater zu vertreiben und bevor das Gerät schließt ausreichend viel zu naschen. Nachdem ich das Problem baulich behoben habe finde ich heraus dass der große Kater es schafft die Plastikabdeckung weit genug nach vorne zu schieben um sich satt zu fressen.
Also wer engagierte und kluge Katzen hat sollte sich den Kauf überlegen.
Je l'ai acheté car deux chattes. Afin de gérer les portions pour chacune et empêcher l'une et l'autre de manger la gamelle de l'autre, il me fallait une gamelle exclusive qui ne s'ouvre que pour l'une des deux. Puis je voulais vérifier la quantité mangée. J'ai acheté le hub avec. Et cela fonctionne très bien. Les informations sont bien diffusées que l'application. Je connais exactement les moments où elle mange la nuit et le jour et les quantités. Parfait.
Muy decepcionada con el comedero. He tenido las versiones anteriores sin el hub e iban mejor. El pienso se sale de los cuencos y se cuela por debajo, tienen tan poca estabilidad que los otros gatos introducen la pata por el lateral mientras mi gato paralitico come y le quitan no solo la comida, sino el cuenco entero. No calcula bien los pesos. Un precio excesivo para un producto muy mejorable, se supone que no deberian poder robar la comida los otros animales.
Great product! Easy to set up and use, easy to clean. Well built good quality (doesn’t feel at all cheap). My Cat took to it instantly, I didn’t need to go through training mode with him. Only downside is one of my other cats waits behind it and then holds the lid up so it can’t close when the authorized cat is done, then I find the lid won’t shut after he lets go and leaves so the rest of the cats get into it. I did order to rear hood as well, which was supposed to arrive the same day as the feeder but has been delayed. I’ve set it into a box while we wait for the hood. Highly recommend the connect version so you can adjust settings for clever cats you don’t want getting into (the version I got). Very pleased and it exceeds what my expectations were of it. We’ll see how it holds up over time.
Bonjour, nous sommes très content du système car ça a réglé des problèmes de santé de notre chat MAIS après plusieurs jours d'utilisation, le moteur fait BEAUCOUP DE BRUIT (un bruit de roulement) qui m'empêche même de dormir lorsque mon chat mange la nuit.
Sure Petcare has taken a brilliant idea and made a terrible product on multiple levels and backed it up with even worse customer service.
1. They have been aware that the lack of a rear cover was an issue for over 4 years but instead of fixing the feeders they have it as an accessory at an additional cost. Their excuse is that most don’t need it but that appears false based on the sheer number of complaints about the lack of rear cover in the review.
2. The scales are inaccurate. I can zero fish, place 80 grams of food in said dish, close the lid, open it, remove 5 grams, and it will send that two or three times that amount is being removed.
3. The connectivity to hub is subpar at best. It doesn’t zero all the time without multiple attempts or resets. Feeders drop frequently. Cat will eat and update will not go to phone or app. Like the rear cover you have to pay even more for the hub to make the product work correctly.
4. Customer support is impossible to contact and flippant when you do. I emailed twice asking for advice and had no reply. I then attempted to search forums and found nothing. Finally I called..... after sitting on hold for 32 mins I was disconnected. My second call resulted in a 47 min hold and when I began to explain my issue to the women who answered she told me her cats don’t have that problem and then was rude as I continued to seek help. I repeated my question and she said she was hanging up. I am happy her cats don’t have that issue but mine do and seeing as see works for customer service I would expect a willingness to assist be present.
Overall, this feeder would be brilliant is executed properly and backed up with support. Sadly that’s not what sure petcare provides with their product.
Like many other reviews, I have an old, skinny cat that grazes, and a younger sweet but chubby cat that will eat everything in sight. This feeder seems like a great solution.
But: 1. We had to buy the back cover to keep faces and paw out of the back side of the feeder while it is open (cover was easy to buy and put on), and 2. Most importantly, the door closes way too slowly after the cat with the RFID collar walks away. So slowly, that both of the kittens get in and have a good snack before it shuts. From what I can tell, there is a setting for this but ONLY via the app, which requires buying the hub. I will now spend another $80 just to be able to close the door faster.
I have so many other products with integrated web functionality and/or settings integrated into the product, and yet this product requires you to buy every single add-on to make it work.
will I love it once I get a hub and reprogram the door closure? probably for the convenience, but I am pretty annoyed that if you really need a hub to make it work right, it isn't more clearly stated up front, or built into the product.
