I read this book for a particular reason, but found it leant more toward letting go of a lover, which was not my situation. Having said that, there is a great deal of value in the book, the format of each chapter being written by a different person works very well, and the addition of quotes is a great inclusion.
The quote that really stayed with me was in the first chapter - "Anything that feels forced or harder than it should be, or causes you pain and distress, is not meant for you....Things that are meant for you have a way of flowing smoothly into your life. The more you fight for something that is not meant for you, the more it will fight you." In my experience that is true.

We often struggle to let some people go, especially when they made that decision. We question the universe, we question ourselves, and we question everyone around us but we never truly get our answers. Letting someone go takes time, patience, and commitment to actively stop ourselves from relapsing and thinking about that person again. The Art of Letting Go helps you understand why, how, and when you should let someone go so you can move on and never look back.

Lots of accounts on how to release/let go of relationships that have ended. There's a method for most experiences. I enjoyed this quick read and obtained some useful tips on processing and accepting post break up and advice on mending your heart.

Great book for those struggling to let go of an ex...
Reviewed in Canada on 20 August 2019Verified Purchase
I wasn't struggling when I started reading this book. I actually thought this book was about letting go of things in general, not just of a relationship that has ended against your expectations. It definitely helped me recognize how much I've grown and changed. I could have used the lessons in this book after my break up with my first ex.

sehr hilfreich bei Trennungen!
Reviewed in Germany on 21 August 2018Verified Purchase

They sent an old used book
Reviewed in Canada on 18 May 2022Verified Purchase
This looks like someone had written all over the back and erased it. There are pencil marks but also indents from whatever the wrote on it. Book is also dirty.
