This is the worst book I have read for a long time. There is only superficial character development so I didn’t feel involved in the story, and not one likeable or even believable character in the whole book. The plot was uninteresting and the twist at the end so predictable that my 5 year old granddaughter could have worked it out. The dialogue reads like a soap opera script. I can’t believe so many readers have given it good ratings, for me it was a total waste of time and money

Waste of time. As a sailor, I like a book involving an ocean passage but this was a complete shocker. Full of inconsistencies, the unfolding plot became laughable, the “twist” at the end came as no surprise, the characters were not at all believable, and it was badly written. Don't waste your money on this book.

Not a thriller but a nautical adventureReviewed in the United States on 16 August 2020
Oh man. This was a waste of time and money. The first half of the book is all boat jargon (seriously, paragraphs about one turn the boat has to make - I’m here for a thriller not a nautical lecture). I found myself constantly checking the progression percentage at the bottom. At 55% of the way through, it finally started to pick up (less detail about how to change the main sail, less use of the word aft, less boat content overall thank god) but that excitement was short lived as the story timeline just didn’t work. We follow a character for a whole month, day by day, then all of a sudden the days just fly by and in the next chapter said character is 8 months pregnant?? No. Such a shame because the story idea promises so much potential. The ending was predictable and if you’re a regular thriller reader you’ll see it coming. If not, you’ll probably find the whole thing enjoyable, especially if you’re after a nautical adventure where the boat is the main character for the first half of the book.

A ok read by the seasideReviewed in the United States on 21 August 2020
Enjoyed the book, author has good knowledge about sailing, I predicted as much about the sister given some drugs, so the twin can stage a disappearing act, and will appear later in the story, not the good twist I was hoping for. A cliff hanger end? Second book maybe, does Adam know about his wife’s twin when he kisses her towards the end?

I was told it had a huge twist at the end......Reviewed in the United States on 24 August 2020
I love New Zealand authors and love to support them. When I heard that this was a gripping, can't put down novel with a twist at the end I snapped it up. Sorry I was disappointed, it was in my mind pretty predictable.

Thriller!Reviewed in the United States on 13 August 2020
What a page turner! Twins that are hard to tell apart with different lives and $100,000000 on the line for the first to produce an heir. This is a win at all costs for the family. Lots of twists and turns on the way. Just when I thought I had it all figured out, the unthinkable happens! Could not put it down.

Wishy washy content and predictable.Reviewed in the United States on 6 October 2020
I thought this was going to be a great thriller, but was diss appointed. If you love books like girl in a trailing or gone girl this book is not for you. It just didn’t have the guts or creativity that pulls me in to a book.
