This is the fifth Me Reader we've purchased and we are certainly big fans. My daughter was an early reader and I'm sure she self taught by using her Me Readers a lot. My 3 year old is Thomas mad so I thought this would be a good one to add to the collection. He certainly loves it, we read the books together, or he presses the buttons and reads along on his own (and has memorised most of the story anyway!) but the main thing I found annoying is that it's all done in an American accent. I never really considered that would be the case when I bought it and obviously the other Disney stories are American, but it just doesn't go with Thomas for me! As a Scot, I want my child to say "Murdoch" properly, not "Murdag" in an American accent!!! Other than this, it's a good quality item and in my experience, kids love Me Readers.
