Product description
Dominant series violin strings are one of the most widely-used synthetic strings. A highly flexible, multi-strand nylon core makes these comparable in sound and feel to natural gut. The E string is aluminum/steel or plain steel, ball or loop end.
To calculate the overall star rating and percentage breakdown by star, we don’t use a simple average. Instead, our system considers things like how recent a review is and if the reviewer bought the item on Amazon. It also analyses reviews to verify trustworthiness.

I had purchased this set of strings as a replacement set for one of my students. The quality is as to be expected of Dominant strings. However, I did NOT recieve a ball end E string, as stated in the review. This set was needed quickly, so unfortunately I could not return the strings. I am very disappointed in the seller (not Thomastik) for the inaccurate description and the item that was shipped.

It took a while longer to break these strings in then I thought. I'd been using Helicore strings for a long time.I wanted to to try these Dominants to see what all the hubub was about I'd been hearing. Sure enough, these are sweet sounding. They've been on a while and are broken in and sound really good.
These strings really upgraded my student violin. I’m really impressed with how they make my violin ring more. The E string isn’t as bright as I would like, but it’s still a nice string for its price.
