The Thrustmaster HOTAS Warthog Flight Stick is a Joystick replica of the U.S. Air Force A-10C attack aircraft flight stick. This stand-alone HOTAS Warthog joystick comes from the creator of the original HOTAS concept and the worldwide benchmark flight sim controllers: the HOTAS Cougar and the HOTAS Warthog. It features a detachable handle, crafted entirely of metal which is also compatible with the HOTAS Cougar (and vice-versa). There is a detachable metal plate for desk or cockpit-style use. The buttons and trigger offer incredibly realistic pressure. There are a total of 19 action buttons plus one 8-way "point of view" hat: 1 x 8-way "point of view" hat; 2 x 8-way hats; 1 x 4-way hat with push button; 1 x metal dual trigger; 2 x push buttons; and 2 x pinkie push buttons. The USB connector allows for upgradeable firmware. This super-stable, weighted joystick weighs in at over 6 lbs!. This Flight Stick features H.E.A.R.T Hall Effect AccuRate Technology: 3D magnetic sensors (Hall Effect): surgical precision, that won’t decrease over time; 16-bit resolution (65536 x 65536 values); 5 coil spring system: for tension that is firm, linear, smooth and without any dead zones. The HOTAS Warthog is compatible with Thrustmaster's T.A.R.G.E.T (Thrustmaster Advanced pRogramming Graphical EdiTor) software suite, available free for download. This suite lets you test, configure and program the following Thrustmaster controllers: HOTAS Warthog, MFD Cougar, HOTAS Cougar, T.16000M and the HOTAS Warthog Flight Stick. It uses Drag and Drop principle and features three different programming levels: Basic, Advanced and Script.

Detachable handle, crafted entirely of metal
Thanks to a metal plate which can be detached from its base, the HOTAS WarthogFlight Stick can be used either on a desk or mounted in a cockpit. The activation pressure on the stick's buttons and trigger is completely realistic.
Very comprehensive controls
It features 19 action buttons in total, plus one 8-way “point of view” hat: 1 x 8-way “point of view” hat, 2 x 8-way hats, 1 x 4-way hat with push button, 1 x metal dual trigger, 2 x push buttons, 2 x pinkie push buttons. The stick includes a USB connector and also features upgradable firmware; what's more, it's ultra-stable (weighing in at more than 6.6 lbs/3 kg).
The Most Precise and Feature-Filled Joystick You Can Get
It provides extreme precision, thanks to the H.E.A.R.T HallEffect AccuRate Technology magnetic sensor system it employs: 16-bit precision (65536 x 65536 values), with no gimbals (cardan joints). What's more, pressing on the joystick's buttons and triggers requires pressure identical to that required in an actual airplane – a true first in the world of joysticks. Particular attention has been paid to freedom of use for simmers, with the joystick's handle being detachable, and its base being detachable as well (allowing you to install the joystick in a cockpit).
Thrustmaster expert flying ecosystem

T.A.R.G.E.T advanced programming software** on PC
The HOTAS WARTHOG joystick's deadly weapon is known as T.A.R.G.E.T (Thrustmaster Advanced pRogramming Graphical EdiTor). T.A.R.G.E.T is a software suite allowing users to test, configure and program Thrustmaster controllers.
T.A.R.G.E.T is more than an interface: it's also a powerful software application capable of simulating virtual devices such as a keyboard, joystick, mouse, and so on, in order to simulate all of the actions required for these devices' use. These actions are measured on the axes and buttons of the physical controllers, but sent to software applications via a virtual controller.
In this way, T.A.R.G.E.T allows for total interaction between different Thrustmaster USB controllers, with simplified configurations in simulators, and the use of a single preset for all controllers, rather than having to use as many different presets as controllers. Finally, T.A.R.G.E.T includes built-in presets for well-known games, and lets users create new presets too.

Intentare contactar con amazon para explicar mi experiencia con la atención al cliente de Thrustmaster que deja mucho que desear y me deja claro que no volveré a comprar absolutamente mas nada porque representa un riesgo económico muy grande.
If your looking for a plug and play HOTAS as soon as the game loads, you maybe disappointed as this gear needs setting up in almost all simulators, and that's even if they already support this gear. You will need to download scripts and activate them within the Target GUI programme (Thrustmaster setup), I found this to be a pain initially but soon reaped the benefits when I got it right, it is not rocket science by any means but is time consuming, and you only have to do it once
That is the only drawback to this HOTAS, but if you want the best, this is most definitely worth the extra effort! I would get a stand for these too, the one pictured is from Wheelstand Pro, and they can be found on Amazon.
Angefangen von der Griffschale auf der sich die Knöpfe befinden bis hin zum Trigger alles Plastikteile. Beim Warthog Original ist das alles aus Metallteilen gefertigt. Was soll der Mist. Bei einem Preis von 200 Euro kann man doch erwarten dass man die gleiche gewohnt gute Qualität bekommt die man vom Warthog Joystick gewohnt ist.
yes, the price is steep, but you will be glad you invested in the Warthog. Quality metal construction, of both throttle and stick, solid buttons and switches that feel firm to the grip and will not snap or break, with a bit of pressure.
Thrustmaster have gone the distance with its Warthog and you can feel the quality, when using a sim - responsive and sturdy, no snapping off bits with this beast, when you have to perform a sharp manoeuvre in your simulated vehicle.
I use it for DCS and Elite Dangerous, without difficulty, the sheer amount of buttons and switches makes this an immersive experience in gaming and you do get Thrustmaster's T.A.R.G.E.T software, which has its strengths and weaknesses.
All in all, this is not a toy, this is a serious piece of kit and will improve your simming no end, the construction is solid and weighty and feels vastly superior to other products on the market. The packaging is satisfying too, which also protects the Warthog well, during transit.
I cannot recommend this enough and have been after this for a few years, now I have it, I know the wait was worth it,,,,this is a beast!!
These rudder pedals by comparison are smooth as butter. I've got far better control under crosswind conditions and there's no hard centre detent. The fact that these feel absolutely solid is further reassurance of the quality here, but time will tell whether that holds true.
Reason for not giving five stars is two fold:
- On a carpet you need to screw it down, otherwise it will slide about.
- Assembly of the rudder pedals is fiddly, and this also applies to adjustment.
However on the two counts above, I've had no reason to readjust my pedals once setup, and screws through the carpet aren't a bother for me either.
