Long lasting sole doesn't wear out before the upper

I wear shoes out quick on my job, and I usually buy 3 pairs a year. The sole wears out fast, leaks, splits, or cracks apart with most modern glued shoes, but these Titan soles last the longest I've found. Excellent all around solid work shoe, good non slip traction, and my feet don't hurt. I use Superfeet Orange Insoles. Eventually the leather gets too scuffed and the inside wears out so I throw them out but the sole is still decent. Negatives are the alloy toe beeps metal detectors, and the soft leather gets dirty.

You must buy the "right" size. I've always liked this shoe for its moderate price and and relatively light weight. Bought several pairs in this style over time from a local brick and mortar specialty store and every time the sales person fitted me for my purchase. I'd have to convince myself that there'd be some short period of discomfort while the shoes broke in. Wrong. I recently instead purchased these Timberland Pro Tiitan oxfords from a Amazon marketplace vendor and I went size up and to the widest available XW (3e) width. Zero break in time. I have since purchased another pair of these same work shoes from Amazon.com direct and am thrilled with the discomfort-free results. I work and walk/run/climb in an industrial environment that varies from gravel to concrete to steel and one draw back to the comfort of these work shoes is durability. I can cover from 3 to 9 miles a day in these shoes and the soft soles reflect the wear and tear. My goal is zero-pain comfort. If I have to buy new work shoes every 3-6 months because I kill the outsoles it's worth it.

I like these shoes. I am going on four years with these shoes and they seem to be going strong. The uppers are starting to show wear, but that is to be expected for wearing them so long.

Slip resistance is good but with the treads showing wear, that is starting to falter a little. Again, after four years what do you expect.

Only drawback is that they are a little heavy.

They're comfortable right out of the box. I bought the first pair 4.5 years ago, and other than the some wear on the heal and sole tread, they are still viable. With winter coming, and being a volunteer firefighter, I can't go out when snow is on the ground with worn treads, hence the new pair. In the winter months I wear them nearly daily and a few times a week in other months. You can't not like them. Bravo!

This is my second pair of this brand and style of shoe. I wear these shoes as a work shoe in a very harsh outdoor oilfield environment. They are continually exposed to crude oil, saltwater, mud, and water. I do clean them on a regular basis, and they stand up to this daily beating better than any other shoe I've owned. Even after two years they still are comfortable and have good arch support. If you are in need of a durable, comfortable work shoe I highly recommend these shoes. I normally wear a size 14 wide, these shoes fit exactly as I expected.

As mentioned, this is the 2nd pair of these that I've purchased. The first pair was bought from a mobile safety shoe truck that came to my work. Price was nearly 30% more than what I paid here at Amazon.

I have a normal width foot, but I buy my safety shoes in wide. This gives me more wiggle room in the toe. It's just more comfortable for me.

My first pair of these lasted 6 years, worn for 10-14h a day... 5 days a week. Sure they were looking a little rough toward the end there... but that's a heck of a run for a pair of shoes. When it came time to replace, it was a no brainer to get the same shoe again. Even found them in black... I'll be ordering a pair of these soon.

The composite toe is very light when compared to traditional steel. The sole is simple, but provides good traction in most conditions. Laces are adequate.... lasted the full 6y in the old pair. For me they require little to no break in time.... i wont say they are instantly comfortable out of the box... but close. I have them on my feet now, day 4 since new.... and they already feel like part of the family.

Buy with confidence... these are great work safety shoes.

We exchanged it for another pair, which my husband starting wearing this week. So far, so good. This will be the second pair I've owned. They fit a little tight out of the box, but from past experience they don't over-stretch. EXTREMELY comfortable shoes. I work in a factory with concrete floors, and these are fantastically optimized for support and cushion. Slip resistance is ok... I had a pair of Sears Die Hard non-slips years ago that stuck like glue. The last pair I owned were my favorite shoes, at work or home. The sole split all the way and across however. Very disappointed but were nearly four years old.

I ordered these shoes because my employer changed their policy on the personel having a safety shoe on the floor. I work a night shift & have employees in two buildings. Lots of walking all night! I am very flat footed & have issues finding a regular shoe, besides a safety shoe. I did some research & decided to try these. I was a little unshure the first day, but knew by the second that they would be fine. They are true to size in my case as I was having problems finding a 12-4E oxford in any brand! I have been wearing them for weeks now & they are doing great! My big flat feet are not mad after 10-12hrs on the shop floor. They seem to clean easily, but do scuff. They polish nicely though. Quite comfy for a safety shoe. I would say give them a try if you need a comfy safety shoe. They have worked for me quite well. I hope they last a while too. Time will tell.
