Because these were available at company shoe store where I worked, I've owned maybe 6 pairs before retiring. Obviously I like them because I bought a pair off Amazon after retiring. However, I will say the sole has a tendency to break all the way across, directly below where the safety toe ends. At least one of almost all pairs I've had broke across the sole. You can still wear them, but after they break, the safety toe will pinch if you are down on your knees and the toe of the shoe gets flexed strongly. Otherwise, they are really comfortable, easy wearing safety shoes.
i am a contractor and i go through work boots/shoes every 3-6 months. comfort is #1 for us and this shoes delivers. timberland pro line is the best you can get for the $. this is my third pair i purchased in past three years. i really hope they don’t stop making these. I might have to buy few to have in stock. i normally get wide size so if i ware thick socks or two i can fit into them. To make any work boots or shoes last longer i normally put on "KG'S boot guard" at the toe area. the first place any work boots gets ware away is at the toe in my experience. especially if you do floor or roof work. Once this is put on you are good to go until the shoe sole wares out. after that you have to get a new shoes. you can also get the KG'S boot guard at amazon.
I have a pair of these that I bought a year ago and have worn 6 days a week about 10 hours a day or more. The insole wore out on the ball of my foot, but still usable. The heel has been solid despite others complaints. The low top is great for business casual if you're an engineer in a process setting. The titan toe is light. I would recommend trying them on if you can at a store first. I needed a wide shoe instead of a medium for this model.
Maybe there are better alternative out there, but for the price I really like these. Fits well, no fatigued feet, well constructed but not too heavy, non-metal safety toe. This is my second pair in a different color. Make sure you order the correct size/color.
I had a pair of pro titan 6" boots and really liked them. With this purchase I got what I first wanted in a work shoe, a safety toe,and light weight. My foot is 10 e so I had to order the widest size they offered to get the toe clearance for the safety toe. If this pair lasts the 15 months that my pair of boots did I will be very pleased and reorder them in the future.
