I spend 50 hours a week walking on concrete. As a mechanic, these shoes are assaulted by oil and antifreeze on a daily basis. hands down, best shoe for a mechanic. ive been a mechanic for almost 20 years, finding a good shoe is hard. these give me at least 1 year before they fall apart. which is great because other shoes cant make the 1 year mark.
This shoe is very comfortable and supports my foot well. I have now purchased and worn three pairs of Timberland PRO shoes. The only thing that I have found less than desirable is that the sole begins to separate from the leather upper after 12 to 18 months, always starting at the toe. I mostly wear these indoors at work so they see little rough, wet weather. Otherwise, a wonderful shoe!
Titanium toe is extremely light, doesn't feel different from a standard work boot. I wear these everyday and do lots of walking/standing. Great traction even on somewhat slippery surfaces. Very comfortable, though after a while I opted to get insoles for them to better complement my foot's arch. Fit is right on the money.
I'd highly consider purchasing a second pair of these once this pair wears out, though I don't foresee that happening any time soon.
3 stars because 'no arch support' due to the fact that I had to remove the dictionary thick liners. If you have really, really flat (I mean like 1 inch high feet) you'll probably be ok. I'm hoping they'll wear out a bit so I can put liners back in. Overall they seem well made and look good. Width is fine and roomy. Worth $100+ bucks? Nah.
After owning a few pairs of Timberland Pro's now I've found my perfect fit! Comfortable and durable feeling. I work in catering/food trucks so a mix of kitchen and concrete under my feet for 45+ hrs/wk, and they're holding up great! Last ones lasted about 2 years.
