It was good shoes. Thick leather, good fit, nice look. But the quality was very bad. The sole broke down after two months of use. I'm construction worker, and it was used heavily, but this is what work shoes made for. And they failed, as no any other pair of work shoed failed before.
The warranty of Timberland is for defect in manufacture only. They agreed, this is "normal wear and tear". But it can't be normal, when PRO work shoes break down in two months.
I bought another pair of work shoes from other manifacturer. For half of the price, and they will serve for more than a year as per my previous experience.
Can't recommend these shoes, guys.

Hurts my foot

I had a pair of these that I bought a few years ago and I wore them out. I can't even wear this pair. There is something wrong with the left shoe that gives me a sore foot. I have been waiting for them to break in but I think they are going in the trash. Too late to return them. I don't know if it is just these or typical of this product line now. Like I said, the original shoes I had were great. These...not so much.

Different Shoe

Ordered a pair in March 2017. Loved them. So before they wore out, I ordered another pair November 2017. I wore the 1st pair for more than a year. They really were the best shoes Ive bought in a long time. I finally wore them out and started wearing the 2nd. The 2nd (same size, same laces, same everything) pair was not comfortable at all. So disappointed. Even the material seems to look different, like a cheaper leather. Anyway, my repeat buy was foiled. I hate inconsistency.

Way too narrow

I am a 10.5W and first tried the 10.5XW and it was too narrow. I then ordered the 11XW and it was snug but thought that after 3 weeks of wearing 12 hours per day that it would loosen up. Nope! Still too tight and now my feet are seriously hurting. Fortunately, I saved my 3year old red wing shoes and will have to go back to them. I’m out $120 and will never buy any Timberland products again...ever! Their shoe designers need to follow standard sizing...that’s why they call it “ standard sizing”

Lining wore out at heel within a year

From moderate wear, the lining and padding at the heel wore completely out and left plastic sticking out. And you know what that means: my heels are torn up and I have to hobble around. I was really hoping to get more mileage out of these for the price. The rest of the shoe has held up well and it hurts to have to throw out something that seems to have so much life left, but there's no way to make those worn out heels work anymore.

Bought these shoes, put them on, walked around the house a bit, and had a bad scuff from nothing at all that I could tell I did. The leather is soft, too soft. These are great shoes, but they will look like crap pretty quick.

I just bought the shoes about a month ago; they are extra wide, 10 and a half. when I wear them they feel narrow, and uncomfortable.
I don't understand why so many people give this product five stars it's not worth it!
Don't buy them and waste your money on them.

The shoes worked well until I came home with a wet sock after only 4.5 years. I discovered that the shoes had split on the outside. The tread on the bottom is good and strong around the split. I suspect that the durometer specification for the sole composition may be causing the issue. These shoes should have lasted for ten years.

This is the second pair I bought of these shoes (11W) . The first pair fit perfect and was very comfortable, the second pair (11W) is way too narrow. I could not even get them on my feet, the tags say 11W but they are not. I am past the time I can return these, so I am out $119!
