As with most of Fitzsimmons' books it is always entertaining, sometimes funny and as accurate as he can make it. One problem was that I had to go through almost 41% of the book before the actual siege commenced. I appreciate an introduction as well as the next person but it was just to long.
The section that concerned Edmondson and his mother were a bit to Oedipal for my tatste, but that's just me, other may find it touching.
It is a good book and great read and I would recomend it to everyone who would like an inside seat to a piece of Australian history
