im flying for my first time all the way to the east coast. i didnt want to check a bag, i wanted it w me on the plane. so i found this and wasnt sure if it would be big enough to fit a whole week worth of big girl clothes and shoes. i went ahead and bought it and im pleasantly surprised! it fit 6 t shirts, 4 thick sweatpants, 2 thick capri sweatshorts, pajama pants and shorts, a bunch of tank tops, as well as underwear, socks, and my converse! it closed with no problem and i STILL have room to fit anything i buy on my trip since i also didnt use the extra zipper space it gives! it stands up on its own, and perfect size for my height. im 5’8. it also has a handle on the bottom of the suitcase which will help with putting it in the overhead bin on the plane! with all my clothes in it, its still very lightweight! the tote bag is perfect to hold my charger, phone, and my hoodie. i overall am totally surprised w how great this bag is! especially for holding a whole week worth of big girl clothes with extra space :) 10/10 would recommend! the green color is also more pretty irl lol
I love the green colour, just what I wanted. They are also the perfect carry on luggage as long as you follow the rules. Do not over stuff them! I packed the perfect amount of clothes for 3 days and have used them 3 times since I ordered them. The pulling handle can be easily pushed down without the button and the handle does jiggle a lot. However this can be fixed using a screwdriver.
Weekly business traveler here. I've been using this one for almost a year now. It has held up very well with all the travel I do. It is my big carry-on that is often valet-checked at the gate, so it takes a lot of rolling through airports and by baggage handlers. Aside from the fabric being a little scuffed, it is in great condition. The wheel profile is small, so it's not hard to fit in the overhead bin. Lots of pockets to store items separately. I especially like small one on the top outside to hold my liquids for easy removal if needed in those airports that don't have a Pre-check.
This is expandable too, so in those rare times I need more than a weeks worth of clothing, it can handle it. The only issue I have is the telescoping handle which gets a little stuck when I pull on it. I have to give it an extra tug to get it all the way up and locked.
I went with the green one, and so glad I did. I can spot it quickly amongst the sea of black bags.
I honestly can't attest much to the smaller bag. I've only used it a few times early on, but got a slightly larger "diaper bag" from Hop Skip to hold my computer and a ton of other electronics and work related stuff.
All in all, you get an awesome bag that is lighter weight than a bunch of the more expensive bags that I reviewed before deciding on this one.
Update:. So I've been using this bag every week for business travel. I keep looking at some of those expensive bags and still find mine is much better for the money spent. The issue I reported above with the telescoping handle is the only problem I can bring up for review. All I ask is that you please don't get the green one as mine stands out on a baggage carousel or at the end of the jetway!
I needed these in a pinch for travel i was going on and chose it based on its size, reviews, and available colors. I liked that i could get a different color than a standard plain black, and the green suited me just fine, and also if a friend ever needed to borrow it it would be gender neutral as opposed to a pink one (which i would have loved lol). Though true to other reviews the green color is NOT as bright and pretty as it appears on the photo, it is a little more muted, but a little more woodsy than olive id say. I have a ton of pics i took from various angles of all its features and even with it stuff full but i don't see where i can post them on this particular items page. :(
I have no complaints over the durability of the suitcase (i don't use the mini one) kinda stupid, don't know if anyone ever uses them, not big enough for my laptop. So the suitcase will be the main point of my review.
The item held up just fine and had no problems with it as a carry on. I flew through American Airlines for all flights and never once had any question of its size/weight issue and didn't have to check it. It rolled smoothly through the airport. the wheels worked well and had no issues with the handle. extended/retracted simple and quickly with a push of the button on top. there was an occasional tip or flip, but i attribute that to my handling of the bag as its a narrower than a larger one so it was easy to accidentally twist when pulling it up next to you, But that was mainly just how i was handling it.
It can actually fit a pretty good amount of stuff in it. I had 2 pairs of jeans, house sweats, yoga style sweats, 8 shirts, 10 underwear and a couple bras, 4 pairs of socks, and a pair of low profile sneakers, pair of flats, and heels. Oh and an extra hoodie on top of all of that. Also had my makeup bag stashed in it too. All that WITHOUT the use of the 3" extender that unzips if you need it. I didn't want to risk having to check it. However on one of my flights, to/from an airforce base in a tiny plane, they had no room for carry ons so they had to be checked (no fee i might add) and it help up fine against their rough handling.
Made it through the airports 6 times and came home in just as good condition as we left. Fortunately no scuffs or marks from being handled by agents or thrown on the belt or plane, and held a ton of stuff! all the intimates and socks and things were stowed in the zip mesh pocket on the inside, packed shoes in the bottom, then pants, then tops, then hoodie,
I am very please with the durability and quality of this piece for a pretty decent price. It did what i needed it to do and did its job well. i really have no complaints about it at all and can't wait to go on another trip with it.
I was really surprised when I opened the box and saw these. I don't travel much so didn't want to spend a fortune on TSA approved luggage. I had not travelled in a long time, so had to look up online as to what I was supposed to do. I ordered two of these sets, the orange and the green. The material is a sturdy nylon material. The inside has a screen zippered pouch that takes up the entire lid. There are no other interior pockets but oddly the bottom of the suitcase (or the back, the part you look down into) had a zipper and I couldn't figure out why. But the outside has two nice sized zippered pouches. It also comes with a cheapy lock that is not TSA approved. The big challenge was to take a week trip in a carry-on. Both of us are heavy packers so this was going to be a challenge. I got on Youtube and searched on how to pack a carry-on. Many of the videos mentioned or showed these things called packing cubes. I searched around and found a company that makes them in the same color as these cases! Here is the Amazon.com link: http://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B005LXPSFI?psc=1&redirect=true&ref_=oh_aui_detailpage_o04_s00 These are exactly the size you need, they fit perfectly. I was able to get three pairs of pants, six shirts, five pairs of socks/underwear four t-shirts and one pair of shoes. The small bag has a strap across the back that slips nicely over the handle of the big bag when it's extended. The only slight issue I noticed was if you were in a hurry, sometimes it would start to wobble and wanted to tip over. Also on the bottom side opposite of the carry handle (the long sides) the bottom has no little feet. When the airline put my bag on a cart that was wet, the bottom of the bag got nasty but it cleaned right up with Tuff Stuff. Now the small bag. The small bag is just the right size to fit under the airplane seat in front of you. It has an adjustable shoulder strap as well as regular carry handles. It has a nice sized zippered pocket in the front. It holds an amazing amount of stuff. The two together really make a nice set.
It's a good suitcase. Size is fine for a for 5 day trip. Outside pockets are adequate. Larger pocket could be slightly bigger. Fabric is adequate not super strong but it'll be fine. This is not a spinner bag it has the roller blade type Wheels. These type of wheels are more recessed they don't stick out and get caught on things.
But no stiffeners in the body at all so it's just the fabric between handle stowage and the baggage handlers. So I unzipped the interior cover and put a 19x12 1" thick piece of foam core board gator Board under the handle stowage and now that protects the handle stowage and adds some stiffness strength to the frame.
The shoulder bag is pretty roomy you can fit a lot in there. Nothing fancy but it's adequate.
This two piece carry onset was a great buy. My wife and I purchased a set for both of us before traveling to Norfolk Va. Hers purple, mine green. The larger bag measurements fit within the measurements 22 x 13.5 x 8.5 for carry on and fits in the overhead compartments with space to spare. The smaller personal bag is just the right size for underneath the seat. Both bags utilize space space well, and the external pockets is a good place to put items you might need quick access to. The larger bag has wheels and can be moved around with ease and an extending handle that fits well, recessing nicely into the top of the bag. We would buy this again.
The bag size, material, pockets, mesh lining, wheels work perfectly. Stitching is sturdy and the bag looks very nice. The problem is the telscoping handle. It works with small, spring loaded metal pins that actuate with a button on the top of the handle. The metal pins stick in place either preventing the handle from extending or preventing it from collapsing. The fix: open the bag, run your hand down the metal down tubes, find the stuck pin, and manually depress it. I returned this bag and bought another brand w/a more robust handle. It's inexpensive because the handle is cheaply made. Would NOT buy this bag or brand again.
Great bag. Fit A LOT more than i expected. I traveled To Michigan during fall time (cold weather brrrr) si thicker clothes.. i went For 4 nights and 5 days. I packed About 3 jeans, 4 sweaters, pullover Sherpa, 5 pair thick socks, 2 boots (Wore slip off shoes through tsa) and 3 pairs of thick pajamas (top and bottom) yep it all fit. Rolling method.. only thing i wish This has was one more zipper inside to cover the clothes then zip up. I disliked That part about the bag and also being able to feel the bars through the cloth made a bit damage get done in the front when I went on the plane.. but had insurance for that, also best carry on EVER!!! Ladies don’t go nuts!!! This little bag fit my other little tsa quart sized bags inside them and my flat iron with blow dryer, and my crossbody !!! Yep. Loved this! Would purchase again and would recommend to a friend. It’s been through 2 airports and beat up a bit and only one mark on the corner.. not bad for the price and the room u get !!! Hope it helps someone!!
