I just got these in the mail and they seem really great for the price! They are completely lined with the sherpa fabric on the inside which is a nice plus and I think they'll be really warm in the Colorado winter I'm going to be wearing them in. I'll be visiting my family for Christmas in Colorado but I live in sunny southern california so I didn't want to get something super expensive just to wear for two weeks. So these are a great alternative. The only thing I would say is both a downside and an upside it that the ENTIRE bottom is rubber including the sole. So like other reviews have said, if you stepped on a rock your shoe would bend to it and you would feel it. Therefore, they don't have much arch support and the leather kind of bends to that if you pronate a lot while walking. BUT, I am okay with this because I have orthodic inserts I'll be putting inside these for walking a lot. ALSO, the upside is I think these will be easier to pack in a suitcase because they are so flexible. I sized a whole size up from my usual size and I'm glad that I did because with plush socks, orthodic inserts and them being fully lined adds a lot of bulk on the inside. I will try to update once I wear them in a couple weeks!
I really like these boots. I am totally aware that this type of boot doesn't have much support and the soles are not thick. The reviews that I read said to order a size up, which I ignored. I went ahead and ordered my normal size. They did fit with thin socks, but there wasn't much wiggle room in them. With thick socks, my toes felt a little uncomfortable and seemed to push against the toe of the boot. I returned for the next size up which arrived today. I added an insole and tired them on with thick socks and they are great! I love that they are soft and flexible. I wore them out this evening and they were comfortable and didn't feel heavy on my feet. Great price.
I live in Kentucky and typically we don’t get a lot of snow at one time. This year they were predicting more I bought these boots right before our biggest snowfall in 10 years. So glad I did. The are very warm and comfortable. I purchased the size I wear in regular shoes and they fit fine. I took another pair of shoes to work with me as I didn’t know how comfortable they’d be for all day. Turns out I didn’t need the other pair. I ended up wearing these all day. Best Amazon purchase yet.
I love the look of these - I have worn them several times, both on long walks with my dog in the snow, and hiking in the woods. They are holding up pretty well. The bottom of them are very thin, so you can feel it when you step on a rock. But, for what I purchased them for (walks with my dog, running to the store in the winter), they work very well.
Purchased for my teenage daughter. Fits as expected, true to size. She generally wears a size 6.5-7.5, depending on brand, and we ordered a size 7. She loves them. They are comfortable, firm toe area due to the rubber/weather-proof material that is normal for duck boots.
