The power supply of the iron lets me use maximum 65 watts, which helps to keep the tip hot. Iron itself is pretty simple and functions as described. Tin in package is fluxed.

Hands down the best soldering iron I’ve used. Upgraded the firmware, as many already have and love it!!! Just soldered 12ga wire with no effort. Hard to believe such a small iron works so well! The only downside is the power supply provided has a really short cord. A peculiar design for the AC cord had me scrounging to find a longer replacement. I can also point out that if you’ll be doing any heavier soldering, do yourself a favour and get a replacement chisel tip, which will make the job far easier!

Love this iron! If you’re on the fence, hop off and order this iron, you’ll not regret it!

Highly, highly recommended!

Great iron, absurdly short power cord

- Mine came with 24V PSU, better than expected! +1 star!

- Items were loosely packed in the box. Not much in there that would be damaged, and nothing was in fact damaged, but not cool. -1/4 star.

- Mine came with a 2' power supply cord. What? -1/2 star.

- The PSU uses an IEC C6/C6 "clover leaf" plug style, not commonly found in North America. In my huge box of adapters and cords, I had twelve C14 cords, but only one C5 cord. -1/2 star.

The iron itself is very good, especially with the 24V supply. Very happy so far.

Verdict: 4-3/4 stars.

Ok I really did my research before buying the Iron! And I'm not disappointed at all with it. The speed and functionality of it is worth the price it's self. 10 out of 10 for the iron. Good for the home jobs I need it for. I'd buy another if the need arises. Fine solder jobs are a snap. Project building is its job. I enjoy building and repairing Ham Radios for over 25yrs and this iron out shines the bench top models I have had in the past. Worth every penny!

Upgrade the firmware from the website and solder away. The supplied power cable is too short luckily I had a longer one from an old laptop hanging around. When upgrading the firmware you may have to drop the hex file onto the virtual soldering iron drive multiple time to get it to take (known issue).

Best thing is this heats up in seconds, absolutely fabulous - and the display tells you the temp in real-time no messing around. Use this with flux, brass tip cleaner and Kester solder and you can't go wrong.

Works great and is easy to use, however the power supply cable to the head is thick and heavy making detailed work not so easy.
(Im comparing to a weller desktop professional unit which has a super light and flexible wand cord).
Heats up super fast thanks to the generous power supply included. Buttons are easy to use and cools down quick to.
Have been using it in my garage for work on an power wheels upgrade project and it has been great.
