Ok, now that I've got that out of the way, I'll leave a proper review. This was bought not as a night light, but as a Cute Thing. At this, it excels. It has a wonderfully soft surface, a delightful, cheerful face, and a good glow. Also, YOU BOP IT ON THE HEAD TO MAKE IT CHANGE COLOUR. This is important.
It glows very well, and has lasted a good many hours so far on only one charge. However, I do question its utility as a night light, as on its pure warm white mode it's remarkably bright. The colour cycling doesn't go through a full specturm, but is very pleasing, and does have some dimmer shades (bop it to lock it in place), so this mitigates the former issue somewhat.
I have noticed that it doesn't respond to being bopped if it's on a hard surface, but on a carpet it's ok. it's also possible to squeeze it too much as one fawns over its cuteness, which leaves it looking rather depressed until it's able to reinflate. It's possible that a truly excessive cuddle might not fix itself; I have had to massage it back into shape a couple of times.
Hours of funn watching it light up as you bop it on the head.
My 14-year old granddaughter was with me when I opened the box. She was instantly intrigued with it. It does need to be charged and since it was intended for a 4 year old who doesn't have the skills required just yet, I am going to give it to my 14-year old granddaughter instead. She will be tickled pink, or purple, or blue, or yellow!
I love that this is re-chargeable, and I don't have to change batteries over and over again. The light is a bit bright, a softer glow would be nicer, but it still works just fine to have on at night. Mine does not turn off after an amount of time when it's on the solid light mode. It stays on all night and I turn it off in the morning. The second mode, you do not choose a colour, instead the light cycles through a few different colour lights. It's a little fast, and harsh. The only reason I've put it in the second mode was to put it in my college dorm room and joke to my roommate that I was having a rave.
When using this as a night light, It usually runs for about 2-3 nights before I have to recharge. 16-24 hours.
This is a fantastic night light. The colors make it very cuite and adjustable brightness and timers are very useful. It works so nicely and makes a great decoration too.
Only two very minor things could be improved. The exterior materior has a slight sticky feel that catches dust easily. It needs to be wiped with a damp cloth, otherise the dust stays. Also, charging port is at the bottom, so it has to be put on its side which is not very stable while charging.
This rechargeable nightlight has become a necessity at bedtime and part of our toddler's evening ritual. It is squishy but quickly reverts to its proper form. It does create a static electricity force field around it the collects some dust and the charge doesn't hold for long. It becomes a tragedy if "kitty" wasn't charged.
When I first received the night light I turned it on immediately and thought it was not bright enough. I charged it fully then tried turning it on again and to my surprise it is really bright! I love that you just charge it and doesn't need to be plugged in to work. It can be moved all over the room where needed and no unsafe wires for baby to grab. There are 2 settings for the lights, one white and the other multi colours that are changed randomly. I love all the colours but I wish we were able to choose a coloured light without it changing that's why I gave it 4/5 stars. Other then that I love this night light! Great purchase!!!
Good products, my girlfriend found it really cute and the material is nice & soft. The only point is that you cannot choose the light's colour. You have only two settings, the first one is warm light and the second one is the colour medley, which change colour every second (within the seven colours range) with no transition and to be honest it's annoying.
My 10yr old is very happy with this. It's a good size (not too small). Be warned that it is not a toy - it is not a solid object, it is squidgy to the touch so should not be played with. A light tap changes the light settings, from constant to changing colours, and on-off.
