Same crib-wonderful views! A MUST HaVE for any parent!

This is the best! I wish I saw this 20months ago when I had My 1st son.
Our old moniter broke suddenly and after ordering/returning and ordering again I found something usuable-and by chance saw this “moniter holder” on the page somewhere-clicked and ordered without even reading!!! CAuse I had wondered why NOTHINH was out there like this already!!!
Unless u spend HUNdreds on a moniter that mounts and has it ALL u arnt gonna have the dream pic u want of your child-let’s face it.
However with this easy to use, sturdy and easy holder I can now see my baby at whatever angle I choose! It has good grip. It’s easy to make tighter and looser w just a sight turn either way-it’s just rite! Couldn’t have done it better myself ;)
Also the support staff that bends is VERY strong and not gonna bend or break
On you-it HOLDs camera exactly where you place it and dosnt move! I truly lOVE this and don’t know HOW I lived without it!!
Everyone needs one of these-great for travel(and the unknown) when away from the house too.

Buyers Beware! Not as Pictured or Described!

Received email on Feb 27, 2019 from the seller informing me that the version I received is an updated version that is supposed to be stronger, so I'm updating from 1 star to 2 for the prompt response from their customer service team. Unfortunately, as a result of the changes made, this "universal" holder no longer is able to stably support the Infant Optics DXR 8 video monitor. There is too much wobble of the monitor, which is quite problematic with an active infant or toddler in the crib. If purchasing this item for this particular monitor, look elsewhere. I can't speak to how well it works for the other monitors this product claims to work with, but hopefully it still works well with some of them.

I ordered this and got a completely different looking item than that pictured in the images, so I thought it must be a mistake and had it replaced through Amazon. But the replacement looks exactly the same as the first one I received, still looking nothing like the images. What's going on with this product? Either they changed the design without updating the images and website description, or this is not the real deal. Buyers beware! I will be returning AGAIN and trying a different universal baby monitor holder.

Gets the job done- but a few flaws

Using this product to hold our baby monitor over the crib. I purchased it 2 days ago and was shipped right away. There weren't any instructions, but it's pretty self explanatory. It's meant to be universal for all crib and monitor sizes, but it was not long enough to clamp on the bottom of the bed and nest in the top corner of the crib like I wanted it to. The clamp was also too wide to fit between the crib panels. I was hoping I could conceal it a little bit to not bring too much attention to it, but I had to put it about 2 feet into the air above the crib since it only fit on the top bar of the crib. So now the baby is just fascinated by it and tries to climb the crib to get to the monitor holder. I foresee this being an issue in the near future as he is learning to sit up and pull himself up on his own. Also, it would be very nice if there was a feature to contain the monitor cord closely next to the pole. There are two silicon like pieces on each end of the pole, which I use to maintain the cord. Because it can be bent though the cord does not stay along the side of the pole. You could probably wrap it but I don't want to strain the cord too much. I had to tape the cord down to the pole and the backside of the crib so the baby isn't tempted to pull on the cord and either bring the whole unit down on himself or strangle himself. We got the monitor as a gift... I definitely recommend using a wireless camera only for this product for peace of mind and so you wont have to go through the trouble of concealing the cord yourself for the safety of the baby. It gets the job done though and I like that it is adjustable. I'm giving it 4 stars.

Strong, Easy to Install and Adjust

Overall great product!
We bought this for our 10 month old who starting pulling herself up by her crib railings and playing with the camera. I would highly suggest this product to keep your monitor out of reach.

It’s Strong: I was worried the clamp wouldn’t be strong enough to stay in place, especially with a baby who loves to grab everything. However, this clamp is really strong and I’m confident it’s not going anywhere even as my baby gets bigger.
The actual extending arm is also very strong while still being flexible. I feel like it’s going to hold up over time.

It’s Universal: This works well with our IKEA crib. I’m not sure off the top of my head which baby monitor we have, but it’s somewhat of an odd shape, yet it fit perfectly in the clamp.

Better Viewing: This product gave me a better view of my baby’s entire crib. There’s only one spot (directly under the monitor) where I don’t have a great view of my baby, and that may be due to my monitor rather than this product. Before buying this, I could only see the middle of my baby’s crib.

Lastly, this product is really inexpensive!

Camera fell out when moving the lens to see baby better

While yes, the mount does fit the infant optics monitor, it is not very secure. It was difficult to move the arm on the mount so that I could see the entire crib so I found myself moving the lens of the camera around to find the baby in the crib. One morning I was moving the camera and I guess it couldn’t move any further and fell out of the mount and (thank god) was hanging from the cord above the baby. So I’ve returned this and got a mount that screws into the bottom of the infant optics so this will never ever happen again.
The mount is decent quality, but not for the infant optics that has the antennae.

Works for my nest home security camera (not baby monitor)

I needed a video camera mount for my nest home security system. I couldn’t mount it anywhere outdoors which is how that product is designed to work and mounting it indoors didn’t produce the right angles. This camera mount works great to hang from my curtain rod to get the angle i need. It is grasping the camera securely. I’ve had it up for over 2 weeks with no issues of it slipping out. The neck is a little hard to wrangle to get the right angle i got it to work pretty easily. I wish it was a little sleeker in design (maybe in black instead) but i got a baby camera mount for a reasonable price that works so i can’t complain. Also like others noted in their reviews, it showed up in a plastic bag with no info so it was a little off putting at first but ultimately that doesn’t really matter because i found a solution!

I usually write very few reviews and bad ones are a rarity from me. But I am writing this one as this product could have injured my newborn in her bassinet.

This product seemed great and had the potential to solve our baby monitor's camera mounting problem on our Fisher-Price bassinet. It worked like a charm for a few days. We mounted a Motorola camera on it, which raised the first red flag as the camera holding clamp could not hold even the lightest weight and moved towards the bottom. The bigger red flags started when it fell completely from the bassinet infront of our guests one day. Today, this thing has fallen for no particular reason in the bassinet, TWICE, after making sure that I tightened everything. Thankfully my baby wasn't in the bassinet otherwise it would have haunted me for a long time.

TLDR: may work for you in specific circumstances but it's not universal at all. YMMV!

Definitely not universal

Got this product to use with VTech baby camera. The lousy “clip” that hold the camera was completely useless and was not sturdy at all. Moving the camera view around from monitor made the camera fall out of the “clip”.
Thankfully I’m married to an engineer who jerry rigged it and was able to make it work. He unscrewed the clip and screws, and screwed in the base that came with the camera to it. Securing it electrical tape. So it does work, but definitely not like it should. The only part about this that did work well the the part that attached to the crib and the metal adjustable wire that holds the camera at the correct angle.
Anyway don’t buy this with the intent that it will work without messing with it and jerry rigging it. I know we are definitely not the only ones who did.

Sturdy but hard to bend causing clamp to slip off

Sturdy and works with the DXR Optix baby monitor. I have 2 small issues. 1. The product is very stiff. This is kind of a good thing overall bc you know once you adjust it the thing is staying put but getting it in place is hard. You really have to use a lot of strength to bend it as needed. 2. Since bending the product takes a lot of force the clamp tends to slip off whatever you attached it too bc while it is tight enough to hold it the clamp is not strong / anti slip enough to hold it while you strong arm the bendable arm part. So you end up attaching the clamp, then going to bend the arm into place only to have the whole thing slip off whateve you clamped it to.

Not enough of an issue for me to return it but annoying for sure. If you plan to set this up one time and not touch it for months its not a big deal. If you want to move this thing room to room frequently I would skip.
