I have to preface this review by saying that the flange sizes currently available with this product did not fit me so I ultimately had to return it. But having tried both this and the Elvie pump I can say that they function similarly.
-Yep, it really does fit in your bra and is nicely made. You won't want to go out with it (unless under a bulky coat) but perfect at home or driving. The motor is small and easy to keep plugged in between pumps and recharging.
-Strength of the motor felt the same as that of the Elvie.
-Has about the same number of parts as other breast pumps. Cleaning wasn't a problem.
-A drawback is that you can't speed up or slow down the number of pumps per minute the way you do with electric pumps. When you set this pump at a lower strength (Level 1-3) it pumps faster. When you dial this pump up to higher strengths (Levels 6-9) the number of pumps per minute is considerably slower.
-Comes with a hard plastic flange and a silicone one. It says these flanges cover sizes 21-24-28. If you need larger than this you're out of luck.
-Another drawback--which I found with the Elvie as well--you can't see nipple placement when you're wearing this. With my regular Motif Luna I have to reposition the flanges several times during my 30 minute pump session in order to optimize the flow. Here, you can't see the flow so I could only look at the reservoir to assess whether it was filling up.
I'd say this is definitely worth trying if you have a strong supply where you don't have to reposition your pump flanges, your flange size is 28mm or lower, and you're not relying on a higher speed to get your supply flowing.
