After buying hundreds of clothes, toys, gadgets, etc. the first few years with our toddler- this product BY FAR is the best we have purchased. We have had very simple to complex monitors over the past 2 years (audio only V tech all the way up to Owl camera), this by far is the best made, most user friendly and the best screen display and usability. The screen itself is huge. Whenever our friends come over they are shocked by the comparison. The camera can also be moved, rotated and zoomed via the controls of the parents monitor.
We had the previous model which got lost on a flight sadly. The new model is slightly more esthetically pleasing with a faux bamboo looking camera as opposed to the original plain white. It’s cute and looks well made. It also comes with a wall hook if you are planning to mount it above baby’s bed. We travel often so have never used this feature. The monitor also has a built in sound machine with a handful of lullabies, white noise, crickets, etc. which is nice if you are toting this around and don’t want to bring a ton of gear.
When I went to set up our new model it required LITERALLY no set up. All I did was press the ON button and it automatically found the camera- no button pushing, syncing, linking, imputing wireless, etc. The monitor has never had issues finding connection, even when visiting my parents who have really questionable service. It also has an “antenna” (not the kind your thinking of, but a small white extension) for extra power if you have a big house or have trouble with WIFI.
NO LONGER WORKING AFTER FOUR MONTHS. This was perfect, but the 7-in screen is already no longer working and it's only been 4 months. Don't buy this. Now that I'm looking for technical support help I'm seeing tons of other customers that had exactly the same issue. I also just went to their website and tried to do a technical support chat and they sent me a link to pay $5 to do so. The $5 is supposed to be refundable but I don't think I should have to pay anything extra to get technical support on $150 product that I bought four months ago.
We have been using for over a month and we are pleased. Great night vision detail. The handheld screen is huge, which my husband and I loved. A few things to know. We leave the camera plugged in and mounted. The volume on the handheld is soft when using the talk function and the person on the other end does not always hear me well. If the volume is turned down you won't hear the baby cry and there isn't an alert that the baby is making noise. This was the case when I turned the volume down while I was on a call. The battery life on the monitor has been reasonable--we don't have to keep it plugged and charging it all done or frequently.
But after reading a lot of mixed reviews for baby monitors in general, I am pleased with this and would recommend.
This monitor is awesome. The picture quality is great and clear and the up to 4x zoom is so wonderful! And the night vision is the best I’ve seen for a baby monitor. I can see my daughter so well when she’s sleeping and it gives me great peace of mind.
Wish we would’ve gotten this sooner for our twins room. We loved the camera and large monitor screen. The zoom-in and swivels are perfect for our energetic twins. Two things that could be better: two-way speaker is too low and you can’t seem to escape sleep mode at night time. When a child cries it doesn’t always wake so you have to manually get to the monitor to wake it up and see what’s happening. Otherwise, we’re happy with the purchase.
So far i love it and recommend it. I had an audio monitor and didn't like it, the battery always died fast, if a car drove by it would set the monitor off, it would constantly be on picking up noise from the fan or ac. I live in a two story house and got tired of running up and down the stairs everytime the audio went off and we heard something. 99% of the time he was sleeping and fine. So i got this after searching and reading lots of reviews pn different ones. Picture/video is great even the night vision. I was going to post pictures but none of the pics i took do it justice. It doesn't pick up most vehicles cars driving by, the fan or ac in the room. The battery life is great. The only thing that i think could make it better is if the screen was a touch screen and if it displayed the time.
Overall I love this monitor. Top 3 features: - dimmed screen: dims after no sound for a bit, I’m getting much better sleep without a bright monitor right next to me. Just tough a button to brighten - Amazing sound: it picks up everything! - additional visual alert: top tight corner of the HUGE screen flashes red and yellow when noise is detected. Sometimes I forget to turn the volume up so the light will get my attention
Complaints: - no clock - I got used to using my old monitor to see what time it was in the middle of the night. I miss that. - monitor is not touch-screen. To brighten the screen you have to touch a button which will move the camera or increase/decrease volume
I have looked up so many baby monitor and this was the best one I've found. I didn't want one that was connected online because I didn't want to use my phone to watch her. It's nice to have a separate monitor that is on all the time. it shows you the temperature of the room baby is in, the sound detection is great, and the picture quality is sufficient. It's not HD, but it's good enough. I just wish it can connect to a second camera.
Great till it randomly turned off and died (tried resetting but with a built-in battery not much I can do. Only had it for two weeks. It was an awesome monitor. Way way better than my older VTech. But I think you can find comparable products for cheaper honestly. Customer service isn't open at 9am EST on a Monday so I'm just gonna return it. Ugh. Spend $130 on a monitor that died in 2 weeks when my one that looks like it was related to an old flip phone has lasted over 3 years with tons of abuse. The audio feed cuts out on that one though. Wasn't an issue with this one but not much good if it won't turn on no matter what you do and no customer support so I'm gonna buy a different one.
Battery life is good, sound is very good, pans and tilts well, picture is fine. What I like best is that I can go into another room and carry the monitor with me so I can do laundry, go upstairs for a while, etc. without having to run back every 10 minutes to check on him. It is LIBERATING! I've had it a week now and no problems with any aspect.
