The tyre fitted my 700c rims perfectly, super easy and quick to setup. And so quiet to ride with compared to my old road tyre (So for that I give it 2 stars). But then 3 months later and less than 2,000km I started getting a bubble in the tire, felt like riding on grates and thump thump thump sound. I let out some of the pressure and started riding at 80psi instead of 110psi (rated for 120psi) and I ended up having this big thump thump thump sound and got off my bike after about 5km of riding and a huge bubble had appeared and a minute later it burst. I seems to be a bigger issue with indoor trainer tires than I first thought and yet when you look up the pro reviews nobody says anything about it. I'm selling my Wahoo Kickr Snap V2 and shifting to a TACX Neo 2T direct drive so I don't get these issues ever again. Waste of money.
I recently bought the (excellent) Kinetic trainer so chose this tyre to help with any premature tyre wear and noise problems. Only used a few times so far but can report that it is very quiet, no slipping on the roller either. As for longevity we'll have to see, I'll report back in due course. **UPDATE FEB 2020** Done around 2300km on this tyre, no problems at all, no visible wear
I bought this trainer tyre to replace the 38c hybrid tyre from my old bike that I'm using on the trainer. My main reason for buying a trainer tyre was to reduce the noice from the knobbly fat tyre that was on my bike. The existing tyre was so noisy that I couldn't use the trainer indoors or even on decking outside my house. I'm pleased to say that this tyre has completely solved the noise problem. It is very quiet and I can use my trainer indoors now.
The tyre arrived almost flat. There was no distinct sidewalls and tread areas so putting onto the rim was tricky as it had no shape. I put the tyre on the rim without a tube fairly easily though. I then tried to put my existing tube into the tyre but it was too fat and I had to order a 18c-25c tube which I was able to fit without levers although it did take a bit of brute force to get the final bit over the rim. I was concerned about nipping the tube as I fitted the tyre but all went well. This might be in part to the tube being pre-filled with anti-puncture fluid. I can't be sure.
I really pleased with the tyre no that it is fitted and the wheel is back in the bike. I was exactly what I hoped for when I made the purchase.
Made my indoor training sessions much more pleasant. Less vibration and noise than with my normal road tyre and after more than 500 miles is still showing no signs of any wear. Very tough to fit on my Mavic rims but bought another for the wife's bike and fitted to hers without tyre levers. Leave the tyre in it's box on a radiator for a bit before fitting, it did seem to help.
Bought to use on an indoor turbo trainer rather than wearing down my road tyre. You need to remove the road tyre from your rear wheel and replace it with this one for use on the turbo, change back to the road tyre if you're going outdoors. Initially I found the tyre quite stiff and tight to get onto the wheel and ended up pinching the inner tube resulting in a puncture. I then took to youtube for tips on how to fit it! Found some handy tips and have had no problem since. It works well on the turbo, very happy with it.
Stuck with the tyre for 6 weeks and then went back to a standard tyre. Turbo training isn't exactly fun but having to push this was ridiculous. I thought my turbo was knackered, no its the tyre. Standard tyre will wear out faster but at least wont seem like pedaling through porridge,
