This review is for Wadoy 14 Inches Truck Camper Shell Lift Support. The struts were received via Amazon in a timely manner with no damages or other issue. These are new units in a plastic bag. I only say that here because in my search for a replacement unit, the brand that came with my camper (also available here) are not only slightly more expensive, but also the consensus is that they sell used and class two merchandise with a fake 5-year warranty. The only way to get the 5-year warranty, and I verified this through manufacturer's web site, is to buy it directly from the manufacture's web site. Their price is more than twice this unit. Enough said.
These are extremely easy to replace. I timed it and it took me 2 minutes and 13 seconds to do the work start to finish. The only tool needed is a small flat head screw driver to lift up on the spring clips. Once the old struts are removed, the new ones snap in place and lock.
These struts are advertised as 24 lbs lift, which is the correct rating per the original. In practice, they seem to be stronger than the original. I estimate them at about 30 lbs each.
5 stars for now, should they have issues later in the future, I will have to change my rating.
