I feel that my skin does look brighter and more healthy. Those videos of dermaplaning likely feature models who had been tanning and not washing their faces so the dirt and oil really built up, and skin was ready to peel.
This product removes tiny "peach fuzz" hairs but I also tried it on a small patch of coarser leg hair that I had missed while shaving. It took it off neatly with no irritation.
I like that this 5 pack is contained within a box. Many are on a flat piece of cardboard with molded plastic around them. Makes it too easy to lose one, misplace one.. they just fall out of package when opened. This box will nicely store the remainder. I won't lose these among my other beauty goodies.
I have no idea what it says on the box. The sticker on the box says Made in China. The box says, Made in Japan. I can't read anything else.
Handle is short- I think adds to precision of use. The longer blade makes it harder to get the eyebrow area. For that, I would go with a smaller, angled razor. For larger areas of face (or other body areas), this large blade is nice. As with any blade, BE CAREFUL. And don't over use it- a dull blade can be as dangerous and damaging as a sharp blade.
The blade is indeed sharp. I usually use a regular razor (like for shaving legs) to shave my face. I have pale skin and dark hair, so I have always preferred to just shave off my hair. No, it doesn't grow back thicker or darker. But it sure makes the face nice and smooth- great for make up looking good, for skin care setting in nicely, for exfoliation- for overall health of skin. A leg razor is fine, less likely to cut.. but a straight razor provides an extra close shave (if careful). I love these for taking care of upper lip area, and for eyebrow area.. but is taking some getting used to since it is a longer blade than others I use.
Where do these pesky chin and lip hairs come from? It’s almost like they sprout overnight! These little razors are extremely sharp and will take care of all those errant little buggers. I haven’t tried them for my eyebrows yet but they’re smaller and thinner than the other brand I purchased and find them easier to maneuver. A shorter handle that gives me more control.
They really do work well on my little Yorkies faces also. There are no English instructions on the package as it appears to be entirely in Chinese but it doesn’t take much to figure out. They’re sharp, but each one does have a heavy duty plastic guard that’s safely removed. Pretty nice product! Thank-you.
There are five of these in a box that only has Chinese on it, with no instructions or anything in English. Each blade has a cover and a small handle. I went ahead and tested one out first on my leg hair, which it removed extremely closely and then on my eyebrow area. These are not delicate enough to be precise for a small area like the eyebrows and there are better alternatives for this.
What most concerns me is the chance of nicks or cuts, and infections. Never use these without sterilizing them in the microwave for a few minutes first and then wiping them with alcohol. Do the same with any skin you will use these one. The potential for nasty infections from these is great if you don't take some sterilization precautions.
If you feel the need for small extra sharp little scaple like knives to shave with you may like these but for me the risks are not worth it.
These come in a packaged of 5 reusable razors. No instructions are given and everything on the package is in Japanese. Each blade has its own complete blade cover and sturdy handle for easy use. Each blade may work for several uses.
When I first pulled these out of the shipping package, I was trying to figure out “when did I order pocky?” Lol. These are not to be eaten, but the packaging and presentation sure look like a box of them. Quite frankly, these are terrifying looking. The blade is about the length of my finger, there’s a very tiny “guard” to keep it from nicking your flesh, and no instructions on its use (or at least none in English). The blade is so large it’s hard to navigate the curves of ones face. I nicked myself several times trying to use it on my brows (the sole reason I got them). The blade itself cuts well. There was minor sensations of pulling, but not terrible and as long as you work slowly and in very, very small strokes, it wasn’t too bad/came out fine. Even if I was to use this as a cutthroat razor (as this strikes me as being like them), the blade is still too massive for a woman’s face. It’s like an oversized manga sword of facial razors. What kind of a face were these made for? Titans?! The blade really needs to be half this size.
+Package of five (5)
+Each has a safety cap/sleeve
+Sharp (little tugging)
+Easy to hold
-Overly large blade (difficult to work with)
-Nicks flesh easily (very little protection)
-No instructions included (in English anyway)
Overall, does it work? Yes, and perhaps with a little finesse I’ll get better at it’s use. Still, there are some other, safer alternatives on the market that I’m more inclined to use. 3.3 out of 5 stars (rounded to the nearest star). I probably wouldn’t get these again.
These shavers are well made. Unfortunately, the instructions were all written in either Japanese or Chinese. I figured they looked self explanatory, so I didn't look up videos on how to use them. The cutting tip is long, which should make shaving go faster as it can cover a larger area. However, the larger blade also means that it is more difficult to reach certain areas. I have a lot of small moles on my face, so I made sure to be extra careful while using them. Despite this, I managed to nick myself a few times. What's ironic is that the nicks weren't on any moles.
I think my skin is just too delicate and uneven to use these shavers.
