If you are sharing your phone to another device that then acts as a wifi repeater, the app on the phone wont be able to see it. You will need to use another phone/device to do the setup if in this configuration.

If via wifi dongle, get your phone on the wifi, then use the alexa app to configure the echo to connect. If the wifi network has changed and its not your device, there is a way to reset it and connect to your profile. Do read the manual and help pages on how that occurs. See less

Yes the iPhone works well with it. I use iPhone myself. The Alexa app is easy to set up.

Good question but ive no idea try www.amazon.com.au and ask the question of Aussie buyers I can say that this item does work as well in Australia as it does in u.k. if you have a good internet connection

Alexa should work anywhere with a WiFi and power connection.
Just need to check the voltage of the mains.
