I have bought Vans for years now , but they seem hard to find In the style I like . I thought I'd try these Etnies as they looked good . In the past I have had to buy Vans a size up from my normal size as they always seem too small . These are not as bad but still had to order 7 1/2 instead of a 7 . So long as you remember that then they are as comfortable and good looking as Vans IMO . I bought another pair because I liked them so much .

Toe box area too tight

Well made but the shape is weird. The length fits well being 9.5, but the width of the toe box is very tight and uncomfortable, and unable to wiggle the toes in comfort!. The sole has no cushioning at all and I can feel the lumps of the tread through into my toes. Shame, as they are well made.
My wife bought them for me for xmas and I've worn them for a few days now and still no joy.

very comfortable, need a bit of breaking in, so far used them for out on my bike mainly doing off-roading and xc. a little general use. soles so far have help up to being used on bike pedals. very comfy. the tongue is little bit fat but as i said i think its down to needing to be broken in.
careful with the material though easy to scuff up. on the whole feel comfy but not had long so we will see again in a few weeks how they are.

Bought these as I couldn't get Vans or DCs in my size at the time.

I have been wearing skate style trainers for the past 15 years now. I wear them on a daily basis and usually a pair of vans or DCs last me 1 year - a year and a half.

I bought these in August 2017. It is now January 2018 and the sole has work away on the heel to the point where they let water in if the ground is wet.

I haven't even been wearing these on a daily basis like I have my previous pairs of vans and DCs.
