Catches 90% of the litter. I use softwood clumping litter and it gets EVERYWHERE. However with this mat my problem is greatly reduced. Easy to empty and made very well, I think it will last a long time. My cat chewed apart her last rubber mat but doesn't appear to be interested in doing that with this product. 10/10
