Pleased with the device, amazed at Amazon selling it preconfigured for you, very cool. As always we don't get the better American models here, no volume control which sucks or 4k. You can buy the better one for $70 delivered on ebay. But as it is not released here not going to waste my time getting one, bit over stuffing around with beating geoblocking with smart dns etc.

I put it on an older smart tv, and it really breaths some life in to it. Was pretty surprised to fill up the storage so fast, in half an hour. Was pleased to find a solution. A $6 otg cable and a usb stick should work to fix that. So putting 128gb on it today.

Hooked it up to a playstation 4 controller. Maybe a bit of overkill but was really impressed how easy it is to do.

Pretty pleased with it. Was previously a Roku household. Still think they are very good but we are in Australia not America, keeping things simple.

Easy to expand the storage will take up to 2 terrabytes if you see the need.

Have noticed the Fire Tv light crashes a lot, turns on and off. Never had these issues on my Roku devices.

Found out what the issue was. The flexible Hdmi adapter extender plug seemed to be causing problems so I plugged the stick direct in to the tv. Works fine haven't been able to crash it with heap of background apps running

That is the only issue with the device. There is no way to close the background apps easily. You have to root around in the menus and do them one by one. Total pain in the arse

Really recommend getting that OTG cable, makes it a pretty decent device with all that storage. If you purchase movies, which I don't. You will need storage space

Just a bit of an update. Fire Tv was a bit far away from the router to get 5G . I connected it to ethernet and still has the 128g storage. Actually just connected a usb hub to the otg cable and ran the storage and ethernet adapter of that. There is a good hub for sale on Amazon with ethernet built in for this purpose. Getting very stable good speeds now..
