As an absolute beginner just starting music lessons, I’m not qualified to say more than that this is a very pretty ukulele. However, I have shown it to the instructor who will be teaching me. She was not familiar with Kmise, but having tuned the instrument, played it, and examined it carefully, she says it is terrific value for the money and she wouldn’t hesitate to recommend it to other students looking for real value in a quality entry level package. I have also showed it to my husband. He is no musician, but is a very skilled woodworker (and a picky perfectionist). He is really impressed with the quality of the wood and the workmanship, which he says is way beyond anything he would expect at this price point. So, I’m very pleased, except if I make awful noise while learning I evidently can’t blame the uke.
