Customer Review

The camera is pretty easy to install (though the drill bit that comes in the package is useless) - we actually mounted it to a wooden backplate and used liquid nails to attach to part of the metal surround to make it easier to mount and locate better for what we wanted.

Quality of the image is good - very clear, and amazingly good at night in very little/no light.

The things that let it down are the intelligence of the motion sensors ... you can toggle on/off the three zones (1/3 each, left, right and centre of the view), but not control how far away from the camera they look ... so if your driveway is (say) only 1/2 of that segment, passing cars will keep setting it off. The 'sensitivity' adjustment is also a pretty meaningless slider with no real way to test it.

The real disappointment is the battery life ... for something designed to be wire free, it's lasting about 3 weeks before asking for a recharge (and that's really slow ... expect to have the camera off-line for 6-10 hours) ... a great way to sell spare batteries or the solar panel add-on (oh, and ignore the $150 solar panel options here on Amazon, JB sell the official Ring one for $79 or you can get it direct from Ring).

If drilling holes for power and ethernet were an option, I'd buy something else if I ever needed another cameras. If drilling holes isn't an option then this is a good choice but factor in the cost of an extra battery and/or solar panel to the equation
