I haven't finished reading it yet. So far it's been an interesting read. I like the way SF presents these old Greek stories as if they happened yesterday. All the ideas they offer are still true, even 3 thousand years later. We heard about them at school in the days when 'classical' education was beginning to pass out of fashion; but the thing I love most about the Greeks, and SF's book, is the idea that NO-ONE from the beginning of creation has ever been entirely good or entirely bad. The Greeks knew it -and celebrate stories about it- even their gods had a good side and a bad side. Stephen Fry has generously and kindly reminded us of that in his book, MYTHOS.
