I followed the instructions for pairing the HRM with the Garmin (Ant+) and also with my iPhone (bluetooth). In both cases the HRM was recognised but no consistent heart rate reading was obtained.

On the Garmin I get a message that the HRM is present but I cannot, no matter what I try, get a consistent heart rate reading. Most of the time there is no reading showing at all and then occasionally a random number appears and then just as quickly disappears. I have checked online for any assistance and have followed all of the suggestions to no avail.
On the iPhone the HRM clearly pairs and shows as being connected but I cannot get any heart rate reading.
