If you're like me and always buy cheap junk backpacks because, hey, how much better can the expensive ones really be? then I have some news for you: much, much better.
As a cheap bag buyer I have seen backpacks of all shapes and sizes that come apart at the straps, the seams, the zips, and somehow convinced myself that it was ok because, hey, it was cheap. Two words now stand out in my mind: False. Economy.
Despite all of its many features the one that shines for the Sterkmann, at least for me, is this: it will not fall apart. And at around half the price of other top quality bags, that really does make this one a bargain.
All of the special bits you read about above are brilliant - the secret pockets, the ease of packing and unpacking, the size and expandability, but it's the sheer quality of the Sterkmann backpack that will make it your favourite. From the robust feel of the zips to the tough-as-nails fabric, the easy-access pockets and even the sunglasses holder, pick this baby up once and you will know what I mean. It just feels solid.
The other things that stand out are the looks - it's as good as or better than the $320 backpack my son recently purchased in the US - and the side straps that allow you to carry it like a (very attractive) briefcase. It's super comfortable as well, partly for the padding and also because it sits higher up than the cheap rubbish that I will never again have to buy.
Add this one to the rave reviews because this, my friend, is the last backpack you will ever buy. You're going to love it.
