This skill contains dynamic content, which is content that is updated real-time based on inputs from the developer. The maturity rating associated with this skill pertains only to the content of the skill at the time of the submission.
To calculate the overall star rating and percentage breakdown by star, we don’t use a simple average. Instead, our system considers things like how recent a review is and if the reviewer bought the item on Amazon. It also analyses reviews to verify trustworthiness.
I bought the Show to be able to see my recipes on the screen and have it read out to me. So far its vome up with 3 recipes, only one of which even slightly resembled what I asked for.
Why cant you just have it so we van browse and find recipes normally and then have it read the recipes out to us? And surely you can get it to add all the ingredients to your shopping list when you find a recipe you like?
I had great hopes for this (with my food allergies I need to find recipes easily) and you've completely ruined them. If this is what you give people in the US how have you managed to get onto Australia? Absolute rubbish
Not made for Echo Show. Would be great if you could actually browse recipes, see photos or watch videos of recipes. Sadly the Allrecipes skill doesn't work here in Australia and Newscorp has done some deal with Amazon so it defaults to Taste for all recipes.
Will not keep the recipe up. You turn around the goes back to Home screen. Simple things like "Alexa ask Taste to show previous recipe" or "Open Taste" then "Show previous recipe" dont work. Keeps trying to read things out then when done keeps prompting you to answer "what next".. Just SHUTUP and leave the recipe on the screen you useless garbage.
Ask for exact same thing and each time get different results.
Just so frustrating, bought for wife to help and she has started writing down the recipes from the screen. How is that OK? How is anyone who made this or made the Echo OK with this!??
This skill is my least favourite thing about Alexa, as Alexa in the AU marketplace automatically uses this skill to answer food-related questions with apparently no way to change this. Almost none of its answers adequately answer my questions.
For example, when I ask for dinner recipes it gives me simply "dinner frittata". Similarly, for lunch I get "lunch loaf", and for breakfast I get "breakfast trifle". Not exactly inspiring. Worse still, the recipes are filled with product placement for a particular supermarket chain, which I don't really appreciate especially considering how poorly the skill does the job.
one of my new pet peevsis skills that try to make a sales conversation with you after you ask a simple question, much like the retail anonyance of “anything else I can do for you?” question and then asks you to rate it. both poor user experiences.
Less Talking!! This is especially annoying on the Alexa Show. Whats the point of showing 3 recipe when you cannot tell the difference?
When selected, just shut the hell up! I can read it, or request for the recipe to be read. Defualt should be SILENCE!! Cooking is a personal space, and i dont want it invaded. Think searching on an Ipad and then reading the recipe as you cook.
I bought the Show after the US raved about it and how great it is in the kitchen..well big disappointment! We want the videos in taste/allrecipies eyc. When will we in Aus be able to do what the same device does over there???
instead of just letting you cook, it has to be constantly saying something. if you want actually cook or get your ingredients ready it ends up in a loop telling you all the other things the skill can do. Telling it to stop then closes the skill completely.
